Why does the left so passionately want to venerate criminals?
American Thinker ^ | 22 Apr, 2021 | Patricia McCarthy

We are fast becoming some kind of vast sanctuary nation for lawbreakers.

If there is one thing that characterizes the left today it is their fervent need to pretend that men like George Floyd, Daunte Wright, Michael Brown, Trayvon Williams, Rayshard Brooks, Eric Garner and others are pillars of society, hapless victims of police brutality and racism. Those mentioned above all died resisting arrest. All had criminal records, some of them extensive and for violent crimes.

Not one of them complied with the police when pulled over for a traffic stop or when they were in the process of being apprehended after committing a crime. All of them attempted to resist, flee, or to harm the police who were present. In nearly all these cases, their own behavior brought about their demise, however tragic they may have been.

The verdict in the Chauvin trial was mob justice, not due process. The conviction on all three charges was media-bullied overkill, a very complex case decided by the jury in but a few hours.

Of course, more white men have been killed by police as well, for the same reasons, non-compliance or violence, but those incidents never make the media forefront.

The public is astonishingly misinformed as to the truth, thanks to the media,. Nor do the hundreds, even thousands of black-on-black murders that take place routinely in Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit and other cities merit much media notice. Black Lives Matter does not lift a finger or donate a dime to fighting black-on-black homicide.

Also the left seems to ally with the losing party and that is probably a strategy to gain power. Jimmy Carter famously allied with all the losing candidates and managed to become a winning candidates. By allying with the losers enmasse all of society’s problems remain unresolved, they just grind on making arms dealers and lawyers rich.

Because they think Les Miserables was real.

Yes, in part. They see criminals as budding revolutionaries.

The left worships at the feet of black criminals and panders to their desires because the black urban vote must be maintained at all costs.

Black control of the cities is absolutely required to project control to the state and federal level

The left likes to use the term Jim Crow

Another term needs to be introduced...... lynching

Political analysis. Not espousing racism nor violence

“Why does the left so passionately want to venerate criminals?”

Misplaced compassion.

Because so many are members of America’s #1 victim group, and dems NEVER criticize them but instead encourage them to commit more crime.

Good one.. Thanks for that.

From the article:

"On Tuesday morning, a Denver police union official called me to apologize for the department's failure to protect those of us who tried to speak on their behalf. The “backlash” for defending our constitutional rights was too high a price to pay, he told me. Sorry."

I'm Spechless....... :(

“Why does the left so passionately want to venerate criminals?”

The media and Biden focus on the cop-kills-black episodes is ignoring (a) the cops’ side, and (b) more important changes needed to improve the crime- and drug-ridden neighborhoods.

Most of those changes must be made by the blacks themselves. Perhaps what they need from the rest of us is hope.

An observation: the name Eric Garner does not belong on this list.

A guy selling loosie cigarettes for $1 a pop on a street corner on Staten Island did not need to die to satisfy mayor Bill DeBlasio's zeal to stamp out cigarette smoking wherever it may be happening. Unless the NYC govt gets its cut, of course.

And why are all of these cops in Rat-Run cities, aren’t they in control of the procedures under which they operate, they had plenty of time to address these things.

Of course they want these things to happen to further the agenda.

Eric Garner was illegally selling loose cigarettes, blocking the entrance to a legitimate business and IIRC, intimidating customers trying to enter the store he was camped in front of. A big man, over 350 lbs, he also chose to resist arrest.

“Is it time to discuss a state(s) leaving the union? I don’t want to use the word secession because that raises too many hackles, so for the purposes of discussion let’s call it “leaving the union” instead.”

I would call it independence. Or you could call it freedom or liberty.

Remember when Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave the democratic party, they left me." Well, that's what's happening in the entire USA right now..

We're not the ones that are seceding, THEY ARE.!! They're the ones who are walking away the Constitution, not us... The entire democratic has gone LEFT and have decided that they want to be commies..

The big question is, are we, the people of the USA, willing to become commies WITH them.. If not, then we better start fight back real soon or it's going to be TO DAMNED LATE, COMRADE...! :(

Maybe, as a start...we need to see some of the criminals masquerading as “public servants” & media criminals going to jail, or perhaps even put in front of firing squads. After that, it might restore some confidence in equality under the law. Right now, there is little of that & normal folks are getting fed up with it.

Odd. Looks like the stabbing attempt occurred in an upscale suburban neighborhood.

I wouldn't call that an upscale neighborhood. I would classify them as new starter homes.
