Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Backs Court-packing; Says Courts Should Not Overrule Legislature

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has backed Democrats’ effort to pack the Supreme Court by adding four new seats that would be filled by President Joe Biden, arguing the courts should not be allowed to overturn laws passed by Congress.

The Washington Times reported:

“I do think we should be expanding the court,” she told reporters.

The New York Democrat, part of the progressive “Squad” collective on Capitol Hill, reasoned the justices overturning laws is part of the problem with the 6-3 conservative majority.

“The idea that nine people, that a nine-person court, can overturn laws that … hundreds and thousands of legislators, advocacy and policymakers drew consensus on … we have to … just ask ourselves, I think as a country, how much does that current structure benefit us? And I don’t think it does,” she said

Hmmm.. Sounds like AOC does not understand CHECKS AND BALANCES.

So, would AOC still believe that the courts do not have ability to override the Congress if the members of voted by a vast majority that she should be put to death without a trial?

Despite not liking her, I would not want to destroy the freedoms and CHECKS AND BALANCES that all Americans enjoy under the U.S. Constitution.

I agree that she is dumber than 'a box of rocks'.
That goes to show you the value of her education at what used to be a reputable university.
This clearly demonstrates that she has no knowledge of the government position that she currently holds,
nor understands that all three branches of government are supposed to be 'co-equal', or balanced in a true democracy.
Furthermore, she has no understanding of the significance of tradition, or constitutional balance of power.
