This is already done. Good ceremony. I watched it on Sky News via YouTube.
I don’t see the part where the topless streaker shows up.

What? It was not in Latin so no one could understand what was said? What is this world coming to?
It was a moving and solemn service.
Thank you! It was a beautiful service. The Queen looked so frail....it broke my heart.
The service and the music were beautiful, on a lovely day in Windsor. Rest in peace, Prince Philip.
Latin might be used if Prince Philip was Catholic (God understands Latin and the prayers are addressed to Him) but he was Anglican and very little Latin has been used for, lo, some 500 years.
Perhaps you don't get out much, a translation from the Latin is always available for those who require it in Church.
I don’t understand why the Queen had to sit by herself. “Covid” protocol? She’s the friggin Queen. She can do whatever she wants. Who is going to say anything to her or correct her?
There’s always an order of precedence. The queen is at the top. If she invites some Tom, Dick, or Harry (or even Lord Tom, Dick, or Harry) to sit beside her it makes her look less majestic. And once that happens, the monarchy is on it’s way out. I don’t care, but she does.
It was probably her choice. British people have had a lot of hardship and upset over funeral attendance rules since Covid began, and the Queen probably didn’t want to appear to the long-suffering public that she has special privileges.
I don’t know - the Anglican Church is so much like the Catholic Church these days, hard to tell them apart.
And OBTW, not going to Catholic Church is certainly not “not getting out much”. Hardly. Being free of the Catholic Church is like a breath of fresh air.
Lovely ceremony. Of course Markle has tried to steal the show with a claim that she sent a handwritten note to be with her wreath and the newpapers are confusing it with the note on the coffin that was from his Lilibet.
Her wreath was to the side with the rest of the ones sent.
One thing the Queen did is something many would have done and shows her human moment. After greeting one of the clergy she turned around for a few seconds and just took it all in..and then turned back around and carried on...
The Coffin is then carried to the Catafalque in the Quire.”
Where I come from we just say “Put it over there.”
Greek would’ve been nice. At least the Orthodox are a real church.
Thank you so much for posting the words of the service.
The service and music were so beautiful and so Christ centered— I loved it.
What bothered me was that the "Covid restrictions" forced her to sit all alone. Could they not have had one close family member sit next to her, a grieving widow, to give her some small amount of support. It is just awful what we have allowed these tyrants to do to us while using Covid as an excuse. Someone should have been sitting with her.
Poor old girl, sitting all by herself.
They mention Henry VIII is also buried there.
