No, you didn't read that incorrectly. We have some horrible news coming out of the Indianapolis Shooting that went down the other day. Apparently the former employee and gunman was a fan of Friendship is Magic, and more specifically Applejack, who was the focus of his final message on his pony focused Facebook page an hour before the shooting.

"I hope that I can be with Applejack in the afterlife, my life has no meaning without her. If there's no afterlife and she isn't real then my life never mattered anyway."
Facebook and The Wallstreet Journal couldn't find any actual motive behind the attack from either of the pages; just ponies. This is still all under heavy investigation, but for now, be prepared for some potential blowback once the news starts breaking out into the wider internet. The Wallstreet Journal did bring up the "far-right" side of the fandom that caused a stir last year, though they could not find any correlation between the two.
Terribly tragic. I'm a Brony. Bronies tend to be the kids who didn't fit in, the introverts, autistics and such. Good people but we all seem to have our problems. It's no surprise to me that a guy who was probably harassed mercilessly at work lost it. I have unfortunately been in that sort of situation and their are some people who are darn lucky I'm not a violent person.
I’ve always been a fan of Pinky Pie.
Oh my. This is a little “different.” Now we have militant pony boys.
God help us.
He seemed so normal before I read this article
This sounds like a job for the Care Bears.
Sorry but this whole subculture creeps me out. To each his own I suppose but when it comes to cartoons I’m more a looney tunes follower if anything.
Brandon Scott Hole was just an violent thug.
That’s it. He had no better excuse for his violence that any other young males that murder.
Can you elaborate? How should this be interpreted?
If it wasn’t real and tragic, this would be funny.
It sounds like a ridiculous movie script.
As they say down South, “That boy ain’t right”. No doubt he was never playing with a full deck. Have to wonder what drugs, alcohol, and other exogenous substances his mother took while pregnant. There is a reason for everything.
Any grown man that watches My Little Pony should be in an institution.
Same for “Furries”.
They didn’t find motive because they aren’t looking at his politics. It’s more than likely that he was a liberal, because liberals desire power over other people.
We’ve been reduced to CARE BEARS as our SUPER HEROES. Pathetic.
Or maybe Barney the dinosaur.
I'm ok with removing guns from anyone who self describes as a Brony.
I love “Archer”, but it’s just a freakin’ cartoon. A half hour of laughs, nothing more.
It’s so nice of our overlord gate keepers to scrub the shooter’s profiles, thereby allowing them to singlehandedly control the narrative. For science!
I can understand liking My Little Pony (well, I can’t, but there is animation I do like, so for sake of argument...). But I can’t understand labeling oneself a Brony. Having a big chunk of your identity be that is just bizarre.
