No, you didn't read that incorrectly. We have some horrible news coming out of the Indianapolis Shooting that went down the other day. Apparently the former employee and gunman was a fan of Friendship is Magic, and more specifically Applejack, who was the focus of his final message on his pony focused Facebook page an hour before the shooting.

**** So I guess red flag warnings didn’t apply here. ***
His Mom had contacted law enforcement about her belief he was going to commit suicide by cop a year, IIRC, ago.
“Applejack”. My father, USAF general, and our neighbors, nuke physicist, judge, used to make this every Autumn. They would light their shots on fire and laugh. I suspect it was because it was so lethal in its high test that burning off some of the “proof” was just self preservation. Also, because they smoked cigars, probably didn’t want permanent facial disfigurement from their breath lighting their faces on fire.
I’d have thought Twily would be more the CZ type.
Anyway, sad for the kid. He needed a support network of real life friends and not just ponies. Fiction is fun, but ya gotta keep it in the fun/fiction box.
MLP has allowed me to make friends in real life and has made me a better person.
Do we need June Cleaver to translate this low IQ slang?
It’s okay. Just a little teasing. I enjoyed the first couple of seasons of the show until the original creator left and the ‘Q’ character, well, that was enough for me.
Take care. :)
Beg to differ ... it looks like an Indiana BMV license picture. Based on the backdrop, the lighting and the pose. You can’t smile, can’t remember if you can wear glasses or not. No hats or hoods
Let’s hope the family puts a stop to that.
I haven’t heard anything about My Little Pony for nearly thirty years, when my daughters were growing up.
Now I watched a few cartoons when I was growing up. Flintstones, Speed Racer, the Roadrunner come to mind. But that phase was over by the time I reached 12 years old.
As an adult, anything animated had no appeal to me. Now I took my children to animated movies like "Lion King" and "Toy Story" and sat through them as a dutiful parent. As for "super hero" movies like Batman and Spiderman, I didn't even like them when I was a kid. Totally stupid.
"Brony online culture has displayed elements of far-right and white nationalist extremism," but there is no clear indication those were motivations in the shooting, the memo said.
LOL. Of course, Facebook.

My grandfather used to talk about making applejack when he was a young man in VT. They would toss raisins and sugar into a jug of cider. Then they would let it ferment, and finally let it freeze. The alcohol wouldn’t freeze.
Never tried that. Sounds a little too “native” for my tastes..but 1916 was a different world, I guess.
It's so obvious, it's axiomatic. There are plenty of closed and underused mental hospitals which could be reactivated. Add some Crayolas, Thorazine, and My Little Pony coloring books, and voilà, you're back in business.
I’m completely behind that.
Is that cartoon still on the air, and where can I find it? I’m curious enough to take a look at it, just to see what in it would make full-grown men become ardent fans.
I have no idea what this means. I would post a bunny rabbit with a pancake on its head, but I don’t know how to do that.
Hey that’s the kid from Dueling Banjos!
I had no idea what a Brony was until I read this, and I think an adult Brony is very very creepy and has issues.
