You plan your meals. And how hard is it to scale down your recipe? There are even websites that help you do such. Or you can freeze some portions.
This isn’t difficult. It just takes organization and planning.

Hubs, being self-employed does not do this. I am still working 40 plus hours a week so that does not give me the opportunity to take back the kitchen. I am WAAAY more frugal than hubs. Can’t wait to retire!

I think this comes from being spoiled as children.
Many right now never had to take leftovers for lunch to school. Why? Because those homecooked leftovers didn’t meet guidelines.
We’ve done a lot of programing for this problem.
