Sorry for the vanity, but I have been watching the news on this for a week and have not seen an article.
I noticed at some point last week that I can not longer get to Parler.com while at home. It does not connect on my computer, or on either of my two phones while using my home wi-fi.
When I connect to a VPN on either phone (I have a work and personal cell phone), or if I use cellular data Parler.com and the Parler app work just fine.
The error I get is "server not found".
Has anyone else experienced this, or could someone with Spectrum test and see if it just me or if Spectrum is trying to cancel Parler.
Thanks!
I’ll check my router DNS as it is happening on every device I have that is using wi-fi. When I use cellular OR a VPN on any of these devices, it works.
Glad it does not seem to be Spectrum.
Spectrum here and I’m pretty sure I’m going there via the Wi-Fi using the Parler app (as opposed to cellular). I’m logged out, but the app carried me directly to their login page. LOL...couldn’t remember my password.
You are correct. This week I had changed my DNS to Cloud Flare and evidently that is when it started.
I looked at an article and it was commenting on DNS is the next way to censor websites.
I also put in several other DNS services and got the same result of no access to parler. I put in the DNS numbers for Comodo Group and it worked.
Just let me in.
I’m on Spectrum.
I just tried parler.com and got a “server not found error”
I tried www.parler.com and it connected fine.
Sounds like a server configuration problem.
