Tennessee Football Player Under Investigation For Allegedly Abusing 6-Month-Old Kitten
A University of Tennessee student claims a linebacker on the football team badly injured her 6-month-old kitten ... and now, cops are investigating.
The player at the center of the probe is Aaron Beasley -- a former high school star who just wrapped up his sophomore season at UT.
Beasley played in 8 games in 2020 -- but is touted as a potential future star with a high ceiling.
The problem ... a UT student claims Beasley committed some horrific acts of violence against an innocent kitten -- injuring the animal so badly, he, required a trip to the emergency room.
The cat's owner described the situation in a GoFundMe page set up for her pet on Thursday.
"I came home this morning to find my 6 month old kitten under a dresser hiding and not letting anyone touch him."
"When I picked him up he screamed and couldn’t walk, come to find out my roomates boyfriend had hit and kicked him, locked him in the toilet bowl, and held him upside down by his tail."
"We rushed Nugget to the emergency room and he has brain damage and will now have a hard time walking, he has a bleeding hemorrhage on his kidney caused from internal bleeding from being kicked, clots in his bladder, and he is currently in an oxygen tank."
The Knoxville Police Dept. confirmed to WBIR that it received a report of animal abuse involving another student's cat and has opened an investigation into Beasley.
We reached out to the Univ. of Tennessee for comment but so far no word back.
As for the kitten, Nugget's GoFundMe has already raised more than $4,300 to help with the cat's medical care.
I gotta agree with the people who think this is a big deal.
I knew a guy in high school who started out abusing dogs and cats. Then he blew up his sisters hamster with a fire cracker. Absolutely DEMENTED.
He eventually moved away from animals and onto humans. He was a scary scary dude.
Torturing an animal is a peak into ones mind.
No doubt, this guy is the type that would readily harm anyone in society who he thinks "dissed" him.
It's also yet another example of how demented far too many who play games are.
The University should kick the scumbag off the team and a court of law should require him to pay for the vet bill(s).

As mentioned, he should be kicked off the team and be made to pay the vet bills.
Abuse a person to that extent, minimum 10 years and be made to pay the medical bills.
That's perspective.
You can bet this pos will move on to the children of aspiring girlfriends, and if he is a good recruiting prospect that will absolutely happen. Better to get him some sort of intervention now, while the brain damaged, broken, bleeding out of his kidneys creature is a kitten rather than a toddler.

It’s wrong to torture animals to indulge of meanness. People who value the lives of animals as much as the lives of human beings are wrong. We may not take the blood of (to murder) a human being. We may take the blood of (kill) animals in order to use them (see Noah, landing).
An ancient idolatrous culture cut meat from animals and kept them living for later cuts. Another idolatrous culture elevated the importance of value of life for animals while entertaining itself with the torture and murder of people, even publicly allowing animals to kill people for sport. Obviously, more minds in our society are going in the latter direction.
Add to that it was a kitten that belonged to his girlfriend's roommate. It would be bad enough if it was some stray cat, but he knew who it belonged to and still could not restrain himself from torturing it. Dude's out of control.
Tennessee Orange comes in handy- Saturday, play football games. Monday through Friday, pick up trash on work-release.
