I honestly don’t know what word they are talking about. The g and s are not enough of a hint.
The G word
It rhymes with kooks.
I know how you feel. My first thought was “I would like to by a vowel”.
De Georgio : Ah that's one thing about our Harry, doesn't play any favorites! Harry hates everybody: Limeys, Micks, Hebes, Fat Dagos, N****rs, Honkies, Chinks, you name it.
Gonzales : How does he feel about Mexicans?
De Georgio : Ask him.
Harry Callahan : Especially Spics.
The correct word for how to say the United States in Korean is 미국 (miguk). To say ‘an American’, as in an American person, add 사람 (saram) after the word 미국 (miguk). In other words 미국 (miguk)+ 사람 (saram) = 미국사람 (miguksaram). Alternatively, you may also say 미국인 (migukin) to illustrate the same meaning, though this form is usually used when speaking of another person as opposed to when referring to yourself.

OOK in the middle.
From Korea, then ‘nam. Might go back to WW II.
I would guess that OOK is between the G and the S. But if I print the real word I will be arrested.
It’s gook. Which came from a normal Korean word. Koreans call themselves that in a few forms.
I had to Google it; then I was like ‘oh yeah’.
Now I’m on Google’s list, I’m sure.
Wait - “gays” is racist!?
A buddy who’s a Korean war vet told me the Korean people would exclaim “Miguk” (which is their word for America or American) when they’d see GIs, and the GIs thought the Koreans were saying “Me...Gook!”, and so naturally, being GIs they took to calling the Koreans “Gooks”...
Anyway, that’s one version of how the word got started...Miguk or Migook is a phonetic spelling for Korean version of the Chinese word Mei-guo, which means “beautiful country”...
Or, so I’m told...
Gooks!!!
It’s not geeks... but if you replace the E’s with O’s, you’ve got it.
I’m trying to figure it out, too.
