That is the normal procedure for Soc Sec recipients; still, count yourself lucky since many of us Soc Sec recipients have not yet received ours and I never received the second ($600) payment from last year.

Thanks, lj... all is well other than I am a bit more tired than the law allows. And March was going to be my easy rest up month. :) This confusion over these payments has just added to the stress. I would probably have forgotten the $600 payment if the IRS had not sent a letter a few weeks ago saying the money had been issued direct deposit. Naturally, since I did not receive any money I got worried about to where it had gotten issued and thus whether the $1,400 issue had evaporated also.
Now they are talking about a fourth payment and even ongoing payments. That is leading us to a universal guaranteed income (guaranteed poverty) and the mark of the beast (but don't tell anyone!) Of course the dollar won't last that long anyway. Send all the money you can to the Cayman Islands along with Nazi Pelosi et al.
If you receive Soc Sec, reports today are that the money is on its way in the next seven days. If you are not on Soc Sec then you may have to go to work in the mines! (Just kidding! 😁)
A couple of the chicks in our local Publix store that are tasked with shopping for others, well, they’re kind of cute. Too bad I’m old enough to be their father....
But I’m old enough to ogle.
