I think they should look at David Duchovny. He has the academic creds, thinks pretty fast on this feet, and it would be a nice touch given that Alex Trebek once appeared in an episode of the X-Files.

I like that idea. Not sure about his “academic rigorousness” but sure why not? He can draw an audience and seems witty enough.

I am assuming they still stick to the same schedule, eg they shoot all 5 weekly episodes on one day. So it should be fairly easy to schedule a whole ‘host’ of various B, C and D list celebs.

I don’t know much about him - I think I watched the X-Files once. (But I would like one of those posters that says, ‘I want to believe’...)

That’s a pretty cool idea.

I’ve thought for quite awhile that Ted Allen of the culinary game show “Chopped” on the Food Network would be a natural “Jeopardy” host. He has a know-it-all attitude but also a good sense of humor. Allen could probably do both shows, as well, since most game shows film a week of episodes in one day.
