Yep, could not remember his name. He’s a nasty piece of work too. Very angry man.

Saw that one, they brought him a mill stone for the yard and some stuff for the interior too. The pickers have picked several big stars or for them. White Stripes. A who member, several others too.

What’s noticeable about Shatner is that he remained “himself” through all his fame. Amazingly modest.

My impression as well. It’s clear he never took himself / his fame too seriously.

There’s the classic “Get a Life!” SNL skit for example.

“Could you help settle a bet? In season 2 episode 9 of the original Star Trek TV series, what was the combination to the safe in your quarters you opened?”

Denny Crane! (Boston Legal - a TV series that was hopelessly leftist just 15 years ago and would cause outrage with the woke cancel culture warriors today!)

"Found out he goes and visits a dinky litle Town in upstate NY where they have a star trek fan store."

I live in central NY, 138 miles from Ticonderoga, and never knew this. I've been to Ticonderoga many years ago, specifically to Fort Ticonderoga where Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys captured the fort in 1775. About 50 miles from there, in Moreau, New York, is Grant Cottage, where President U.S. Grant lived until his death. It's been preserved as a museum, exactly as it was when he passed, including the floral displays (now dried) that were sent for his funeral. I visited that many years ago too. Beautiful views of the surrounding valley from the property.

It's much more than just a fan store in tiny Ticonderoga. It's a full scale, to specification, reproduction of the original Desilu sets, down to the last prop and push-button switch.

That was great.
Gotta love a guy who’s never afraid to laugh at himself.
Even if he’s a Canadian.
