Yes, this is a vanity, because in these times we all need a break, and thats why I come here sometimes. So...who do you choose?
I saw Zep in ‘77 at the L.A. Forum and was disappointed as well. Page played sloppy and he looked like a skeleton — his heroin addiction was at its peak that year. And although I enjoy an extended No Quarter, 40 min. is a bit much. Show must’ve been 3 1/2 hours.

I used to run the stage crew at the local county fair and they played there one summer. I got to meet the band and got them to autograph an album of theirs. It was the one of them fishing in a manhole.
Saw the Commander and band in Ellsworth, ME about 30 years ago. Took my then middle school daughter with me, as my wife would not go. We had a great time in the very small audience.
Gypsy put out the absolutely purest rock/jazz/folk fusion I have ever heard. Their double album was wondrously engineered/produced.
Why they didn’t dominate as they should’ve? Small-time label. And then their resident genius, Enrico Rosenbaum, killed himself in the mid-1970s.

Hey, I went to the SUNY Morrisville and then SUNY ESF @ SU.
Worked at the Dome in events production part time in my Junior and Senior year (83-85).
Did they replace the roof on the Dome? I thought I saw a picture recently where it looked like they were? Those air locks were a pain.
I have not stopped there in about 6 years.
In my brief exposure to the entertainment industry when I worked at the Carrier Dome @ SU the most interesting thing was what we were REQUIRED to put in the dressing rooms for the talent. Some were just a few requested items. Some were page long of things that were required under contract.
Many times they were certain brands of booze or soda because that brand was sponsoring the tour. Mostly they were certain types of food, drinks, towels, etc. We usually set them up in the home team dressing room which was right behind the stage an closest to the airlock where the trucks/vans came in.
I remember someone had to have a bowl of ALL GREEN M&Ms. We had to run out and buy about 6 bags and just sort through them by hand.
For the Grateful Dead the band had one dressing room with normal stuff in it. Jerry had the other dressing room all for himself with this requirement:
1 4x4 Folding table
1 Lamp
1 folding chair

A lot of times, those bizarre dressing room requests had an underlying purpose. For example, Van Halen would request a bowl of M&Ms minus one color (brown). So if the band showed up and there were brown M&Ms in the bowl, it would be a tipoff that the contract was not read very carefully and there might be other more important requirements that were ignored as well.
I did not see that, but thanks — I’ve made a note to look it up. Anna Mae Bullock, daughter of sharecroppers from Tennessee, has certainly risen to her potential! And a nice, intelligent, non-arrogant woman who appears to deserve her good fortune.
Mighty coincidental. I suspect at least some of the original MST3K crew might’ve been local music fans as well.

I saw Tull and Ronnie...I could have see Floyd I think in Pensacola Northwest Florida coliseum maybe but couldn’t make it
In Jackson Mississippi we went to Dallas or Memphis or New Orleans
Or a college...sometimes Atlanta ...
We did get all but the stadium fillers though...basically no Stones or Cream or Clapton or Floyd
But most everyone else....we got Sabbath a lot but I’d outgrown them by junior year and was into more thinking mans rock lol...73/74
I listen to everything now....a def lepperd hit is cycling on my apple playlist right this second
I saw the stones a lot....it was very venue dependent
And the Dead
And Skynyrd.....no question they were better with Ronnie and so forth but they still entertained another 40 years pretty damn good
And they could play those dozens of hits like perfect live...Ricky Medlocke had no problem filling Allen Collins shoes
Vocals....almost the same
I have not seen anyone in quite a while
We were going to cowboy up and see Pete and Rodger and Fleeetwood Mac before they booted Lindsey again..and the Eagles before Glen died
But things got in the way
I saw Van Halen 6 years ago.....they were great..even though they were last my era
No my manhattan time was 82-88
Ramones came around some but their heyday on the Bowery was over
I did go to CBGB....we saw some girls I can’t remember who...
I went to to the Ritz and saw Husker Dü and Julianna Hatfield and got in a fight with someone who groomed my almost by then wife....an orange headed Wall Street looking prepster.....
I went to the Cat Club and saw Iggy Pop too loaded to perform
Saw Jerry Jeff Walker at that Texas joint in the village...can’t remember the name now....looking it up...Lone Star Cafe
Dead played meadowlands all the time for 4-6 dates at a time...I never braved it
My apartment or coop was in the city but I was gone at least half the time...maybe more....we had an office there but my partners parents ran it mostly
I was literally all over the world
Have you heard Bonnie’s daughter, Bekka Bramlett? She is so good I put together a play list of stuff she has done, both as lead and in backup. Has about 35 good cuts as I recall.

FYI and you probably know this, Tina had a stroke in 2018, she also had kidney failure in both kidneys as well as intestinal cancer. Her husband, Irwin Bach, gave her one of his kidneys. She is, SIMPLY THE BEST.

I haven’t been to a show in many years. Last one was Dr. John at Jazz Alley in Seattle. When the Doctor had his mojo hand working (which was hit and miss), he was amazing.
Saw Van Halen at their peak in ‘81 or ‘82 at the Forum. Didn’t really like the show, but to this day I’ve never seen more hot chicks at a concert. Maybe I didn’t like the show because I was too distracted. lol.
