Manhattan DA Leading Trump Investigation Announces Intention to Leave Office

The district attorney leading a high-profile investigation into former President Donald Trump plans on leaving office later this year.
Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance, a Democrat, told the New Yorker that he will not seek reelection and plans on retiring on Dec. 31.
Vance said he’d essentially made the decision before taking on the Trump case.
The 66-year-old cited the pressure of being the Manhattan district attorney.
“It turned out to be tougher than I thought it would be,” he said, adding: “There’s nothing worse than a politician who doesn’t know when to leave.”

I believe we do have an innate desire for freedom and I don’t think it’s just humans. Just watch any animal in a cage who doesn’t want to be there or whose movement is restricted. I stopped going to zoos decades ago because of how sad, angry and frightened the animals looked, especially the large and intelligent ones, like elephants. They look everything from profoundly sad (two elephants chained at the ankles in a small cement stall in Buffalo were crying), to angry, to frightened. I can’t get that image out of my mind and it’s been more than 20 years.

So I do think the world must realize that we can’t compromise and that God is with us, and that victory is His. I say Biden is not in control and that’s true, but ultimately it’s God who is in control and He will use whomever He chooses to teach His children that we must each of us choose for ourselves, and we must be careful who we follow.
Deciding not to choose to believe or follow anything or anyone doesn’t work - because something or someone fills the void soon enough.
Your entire post was enlightened and on-target. Snipped out just a portion for brevity because I may share too much myself. But you've broached a topic that came up in prayer/fellowship time in our home this morning.
DH and I were discussing and praying about the failures we have personally witnessed in our lifetime. We were in school and remember the Murray OHare decision, Roe v Wade. He was brought up in a very legalistic denomination while my mom carted me to a church that was so liberal they twisted the Bible into disproving all miracles.
Just my experience. At 17 I was pregnant. After the hair-raising shame and horror of my parents my mom took me to her pastor. At that point I actually did not know Roe v Wade had happened and that pastor's first words were, "you can get an abortion." I was horrified. Even tho I had rejected that church and quit going with mom I knew this was terrible. Thank God for that.
So they ended up packing me off to a church run home for unwed mothers. This is what I now believe to be my first contact with the deep state. There was sexual and other abuse of girls there by houseparents. There are a lot of life lessons I learned there that there is just not room to share but I learned about real evil there, although I want to emphasize that most of the evil wasn't toward me. It was mostly toward girls who were in the foster care system.
But that place was run by a protestant denomination which historically was founded on very different values. Our churches became apathetic, tried to fit in, become modern; and many churches and people in them left God behind.
All of us here on this thread know the history. Many of us lived the 50's, 60's and 70's....we know from personal experience how sin has been allowed to be normalized and accepted in many established churches.
This move is about God. It is about putting His men back in our gubmint, our schools, OUR CHURCHES, and our lives. I was drawn to not reject Q because I have felt from the beginning that this was a part of Q's message. I believe President Trump was anointed by God for the position of president. I know in my spirit that God has anointed someone for every position of authority in our nation.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 says in my paraphrase, First (that means first when you wake up, first when you begin a prayer, first when beginning a personal time with the Lord) - prayers, supplications, giving of thanks for all men; kings (our president) and for ALL that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life.
This tells me that this is the first place we dropped the ball as the Body of Christ. And that it is dependent on all of us regular ordinary followers of Christ to see that we pray, volunteer and participate in getting God's men and women into authority.
Forgive me, I know this is long but God put one other thing into my heart for prayer last week. As I woke up and began to pray those prayers for President Trump and the list of other leaders, I was half still asleep and God stopped me. I received some strong guidance that these prayers for those in authority must include the church authorities. He's guided me to believe that some of our faithful Christian voices are people He has called to serve in our government as well. He did not press any names on me but it is clear from Him those would be people who are not afraid to share His Biblical message in Love. Not afraid to call sin, sin; while still showing His Love. In this He reminded me of the Black Robe Regiment during the American Revolution and I've typed enough y'all can look that up if unfamiliar but I know most know of it.
I see.
So we should forego our right to assemble and petition the Government for redress of our grievances then. Because, agitators.
