As promised I am writing a follow up report after receiving the 2nd shot of covid-19 vaccine.
Insurance is not a good analogy for the cv19 vaccine. Since they aren’t supported by long term, double blind placebo (saline) controlled tests, and since they are under investigational use until 2023 (despite there being effective treatments, which would void the EUA), they are more akin to introducing rats into the attic and termites into the wood frame, and leaving firefighting equipment in the attic in the hope that the rats will make use of it when they chew through the wiring.
“That’s because Biden prioritized more people getting first shots. Trump set aside enough for people, who already got the first shot. Biden is an idiot.”
Which may be why a sibling in a SW state, who is 80, can’t get her appt for her first shot.
Someone told her earlier this week, that they/the state had been a little to efficient in giving the first shots.
So now they can’t enroll new 1st shot candidates because they don’t have enough vaccines for the 2nd shot for those vaccinated.
A sil got her first shot in a midwest states this week, and when she was doing her post shot wait around for 15 minute thing. She asked the Rn from another Rn, who gave the shot to make her 2nd shot appt.
The Rn’s reply was we will call you before your 6 weeks are up.
Hopefully you will get your 2nd shots.
Our Killer Governor Gruesome has been getting shots to prisoners, illegal aliens, and to school teachers and other non priority eligibles.
Vaccines are a personal choice. I would not take the civic vaccine as I view it as more dangerous than helpful.
It keeps your immune system up.
My mom had both injections of the Moderna. She said she felt nothing after either. She’s 93.
Don’t know, I’ll try to find out. He didn’t answer his phone today, but that’s not uncommon.
Yesterday he said he had been given 2 liters iv because he was dehydrated. He also said that he had a 104 fever.
You are entitled to your views and act on them.
There is no law requiring you to get inoculated.
I am going to cancel my home insurance in 2021.
I will take the risk if house burns down, because I have enough resources to buy another house. It is my individual decision. Not all people need insurance.
He also told me that the CDC called him to quiz him about his ordeal. So I’m assuming that his doctor had reported his case to the CDC.
LOL I am never going to wrestle with you. And I never said anything about it.
Tell Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus golf is a sissy sport.
To break 80 on a 18 hole average course requires strength, stamina, finesse, vision perception and lots of muscle memory. 99% of golfers can’t break 80.
Chess requires forward thinking, most people can’t plan 2 moves ahead. I can beat my Son-in-Law who is a straight-A aeronautical engineering graduate, 2 out of 3 games.
If chess was an easy board as you think, why players like Bobby Fischer seldom lost games?
You would be a piece of cake to beat.
I have an excellent chance of beating you in IQ test because I belong to the group of people with highest IQ, which is mechanical engineers with college degree. Unless you have that degree, you will lose the contest.
Interesting.
A friend of ours, who’s married to a nurse, said that the first shot is half the dose, of the second....and, given to see *if* and how you can tolerate it.
What this doc told your fellow trucker makes sense, then.
I ain’t offering to wrestle with you either!
I am just a 152 lb weakling 5’-8’ tall.
So I only challenge people in areas where I know my capabilities. Which are golf, chess and IQ tests.
Ask around all your friends and relatives if they ever broke their age on 18 hole course.
Same reason you buy home insurance. For added protection against catastrophic event. And my spose needs extra protection because she has compromised immune system due to cancer. I would not want to get full blown attack of covid-19 and pass it on to her. I take care of her at home, so if I got very sick, it will be a huge problem.
Gym routine was not easy when I began at age 75 after quitting golf. If you start gradually doing a little more every month, I am impressed how our bodies can adapt.
If I can maintain the discipline of dragging my butt to the Gym every evening, I see no reason why I should not feel the same energy at 90 or even 100. Fortunately the private community gym is an easy 5 minute walk from home and I go after 9 pm to avoid crowds. Usually I am the only one there.
My symptoms were mirror copy of yours after the 1 shot.
After the second shot I felt like a cold was coming on and felt tired on the day after injection. On third day I was almost back to normal.
I recommend keeping a few Tylenol pills handy after the 2nd shot, just in case.
My spouse suffers from cancer and has a weakened immune system. She had more severe reactions from the 2nd shot.
Oh yes Biden can probably demolish me in push-ups contest.
For one thing I do not practice push-ups. And Biden has already challenged one guy in the audience. Unless Biden has a degree in mechanical engineering, he has no chance in an IQ contest. I had bad heart health at age 55, like chest pains after eating a good meal. And was border line diabetic and many other issues. Which is why now I focus on nice uphill 1 mile walk everyday on the treadmill. No more chest pains.
No kidding. After reading some hellish experiences covid-19 patients have gone through, we should do everything and anything to avoid full blown attack of the virus.
To my knowledge many who recovered were left with permanent damage to lungs, heart & liver.
So yes, the minor symptoms from vaccine inoculation is just a piece of cake.
Best wishes for covid-free future to all of you.
If I was younger than 50 and in good health and was not living with much older people at home, I would not bother with the vaccine either.
Thank you president Trump for helping this vaccine available with warp speed to seniors and other vulnerable people. It will be one of his best legacies in history.
It stands for Tetanus, Diptheria, And Pertussis. We need to get one so we can be near our almost-here first grandchild.
