eBay removing all listings of six canceled Dr. Seuss books

Online retailer eBay is removing several Dr. Seuss books from its website that are no longer being published.

A spokeswoman for the website told the Washington Examiner on Thursday that it would no longer be allowing sellers to list six books that have been deemed by Dr. Seuss Enterprises, the company that preserves Theodor Seuss "Ted" Geisel's legacy, as containing racially insensitive imagery.

"At eBay, we have a strict policy against hate and discrimination to ensure our platform remains a safe, trusted and inclusive environment for our global community of buyers and sellers," eBay Corporate Communications Specialist Parmita Choudhury said. "We're currently sweeping our marketplace to remove these items. It can take some time to review all existing listings and provide education to impacted users. We're also monitoring the newly published list to be reviewed."

Parmita Choudhury...

I am beginning to think the 'little brown people' are working hand in glove with the CCP to promote cancel culture in this country to continue to weaken us.

How’d it go from “they’re just retiring the books, they’re not canceled!” to eBay and Amazon outright banning their sale so quickly?

Lot of old cartoons such as Tom & Jerry DVDs are going to be banned from being sold there if they’re actually consistent with this policy and hold them to the Dr. Seuss standard of what defines “offensive.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think this is just a warm-up act and their real goal is to burn conservative books, remove them etc. make it illegal or unacceptable to read conservative thought.
THey’ve spend decades describing conservatives as racist, Trump as racist etc.
It would be hard for the fascist book burners to start with regular publications because the public would object more strongly. So they are starting with children’s books to get the public being used to thought police telling us books we can buy.
Ideally, we should plan on boycotting and protesting if we want to avoid this march toward Orwell’s 1984. They already tell us what medical professionals we’re allowed to watch/read by stripping doctors and researchers of their jobs, funds, labs etc. and ridiculing/ostracizing anyone who questions their anointed.
Dr. Seuss books are just a drop in the bucket - they want complete control.
A clever attorney needs to figger this out and sue, sue, sue. Once the first scumbag falls, the others will line up to settle.
“Girolamo Savonarola would be proud.”
I get your point. People who take away Dr. Suess from others are unethical and anti-American.
However, Savonarola has a different story. He wanted to take away the pornography in the art in Firenze in the 1450’s then got mixed up with the mafia.
Just accept virtue and to reject vice.
“I think I will watch Blazing Saddles again tonight.”
Only if you have an uncensored version otherwise not worth the time and effort.
That was the TV movie, but in history he had every book, pamphlet, tract burned in huge public bonfires - bonfires of the vanities
Who knew this movie would be as prophetic as "Idiocracy" and "1984"?
