Something weird happened last night. We were in bed asleep and the house vibrating woke us up. Even the dogs started barking. The windows were vibrating. It felt and sounded like the small earthquakes we get sometimes. Husband got up and looked out the window. Military jets were flying close to the tree tops just under sonic boom speed. Now, military jets and helicopters flying over isn’t that rare but it’s always in the day, never at night. He said it looked like they were barely missing the lighted towers on the ridge tops. Probably nothing but very unusual.
Hmm.
I was at a restaurant in central Ohio a few hours ago and there was slight shaking taking place. I thought it was a small earthquake. Now I’m wonder if it was planes that could not be heard.
Nothing to note here, about 50 miles southwest of your area. But I don’t wake easily from external sounds (and I actually like when I can open the windows and hear the nearby trains all night - something soothing about a train). Anyway, it is very interesting.
Oh wow! This happened at our house Thursday night. I was sound asleep but woke up thinking it was an earthquake. Low enough to shake the portion of our house on pier and beam. No earthquake, just military flying objects.
