Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins spoke with WFAA Tuesday afternoon after Gov. Greg Abbott rescinded a mask order, which goes in effect next Wednesday.
Thank you for explaining. I wasn’t aware of the many distinctions of Judgeships. They may dress the same, but they don’t do the same things in the same settings.
Hansen needs to change it to "Unhinged".
I'll bet he didn't know that the Defending National Champion played Gonzaga in his backyard the day after Christmas. It was the first, and only game (up until last week) that the Zags played in front of stands. Attendance was limited at Dickies Arena, there were maybe 3000 fans in the stands.
After the game, a meet and greet area was set aside by arena personnel. The only time masks came off was to take pictures. Here's my favorite, my grandson with Corey Kispert:
Dale Hansen is a dinosaur in the world of broadcasting, he should be put out to pasture.
BTW, I was criticized in some circles for those pictures, some people acted as if we were super spreaders. No one got Covid from that gathering, no one.
Yep. I found out someone whose services I use is a rabid leftist, pro BLM, and will continue to make her customer wear a mask to enter her work space. Only after the temp check, questionnaire garbage, can you remove it. She has lost me as a customer.
Yep ..wear your mask into a restaurant, be seated and take it off. Genius
Someone please explain to me how a judge gets a say in this. They are put into position to adjudicate, not issue decrees.
Got that right. He empowered those governors and county leaders like Jenkins.
Clay could order it and it will become a legal pissing match since the sheriff and the head judge are the highest constitutional authority in their respective counties it will become a state supremacy clause issue that only the Texas state Supreme Court can decide the outcome. Abbot can say what he wants but those two officials are the direct elected representatives of their people in their County and every conservative should support their direct constitutional authority as the most accountable and local representative of the people they are responsible for and elected by. Just because they make poor choices doesn’t change they are the most direct constitutional power in their sand box. Next election should the good people of Dallas County disagree by all means remove them until then they are the ones tasked with the administration of the executive actions for their County. To avoid a constitutional crisis I would expect the Texas Supremes to differ to the rightfully elected locals we don’t need a tyrant on the Colorado River in Austin now or in the future.
