He has just learned cancer has spread to distant lymph nodes, and he has a very young child with special needs, whose mother has abandoned them both.

Your brother is in our prayers
I hope he will reach out to his church, local churches, and the local crisis pregnancy center for practical help, support and planning.
While I pray for his survival and adoption plan for the child should be made in case...ideally a private one where the new possible parents can get to know the youngster and establish care and familiarity with him should there be a need. This would be a special couple. I’d there is no one in the family, even so; direct custodial instruction, legally binding, should be made to protect the child.

Father in Heaven, I ask for your protection and healing for Heartwood’s brother. Father, please grant his physicians your healing insights and guide their decisions. Please give him peace and help him be aware of your presence. Supply the treatment and restoration he needs and heal him from his illness. Father I ask that you bring him and his loved ones closer into your arms as they move through this difficult stage, and place your comfort upon them all that You will never leave them. Thank you Father, for the life of Heartwood’s son and for all that you do for him and his special needs son. I ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
