They have to distsance themselves from Trump's military action (conventional weapons, but decision to bomb). The Deep State wants to make it look like Biden is in control and the Dems don't want responsibility for bombing, so hint it's just proof Biden is on his own and in the background, try to put in place restrictions on Trump. When it rains lemons, make lemonade.

Wonder how much of this is collaborative - aggreement for Syria to send rocket attacks to American targets in exchange for....?

PRESIDENT Joe Biden ordered his first military attack on Thursday - an airstrike in Syria apparently in response to recent rocket attacks on American targets in Iraq.

The US airstrike hit a structure believed to belong to an Iran-backed militia.

Definitely Trump-ian military action. This treasonous "movie" does make the US look weak in front of our enemies so naturally, they'd want to take advantage of it (rocket strikes).

Also, President Trump changed the rules of engagement (I don't know how to word that correctly) to untie the hands of military leaders to be able to respond. Trump said something to the effect (wording is mine, too far out to be paraphrasing) that he wouldn't know the best tactics etc. in mid-firefight and increased the ability of military leaders to strike swiftly when struck, within parameters. Obama had tied the hands of the military, and Trump set them free. Looks like it's working.
