Some days I miss our goats. We sold them all a few years back so we would be able to travel to see family. It was hard to find someone to watch them if we wanted to go somewhere. We just have a few chickens from last summer. They’re not as entertaining as the goats were.

Never a dull moment when you have goats. I’ve had horses, but no goats since I moved out of parents home many moons ago. My dad had someone milk them for awhile, as his arthritis was in his hands so I had to milk them, but he eventually sold them and kept the chickens.
The kids and grands always liked the goats at petting zoos.

I have been very lucky to have found a pet sitter who does farm visits. She even learned to milk. She is a godsend! She was a former cop 😁

My favorite are the goat kids. We put a trampoline and I built a little playground... they jump and leap and do parkour almost as soon as they can walk. So cute! The hardest thing is selling the kids when they are weaned. I like chicken personalities too, and all the different noises they make when they are happy... even the rooster, despite being a bit mean, calls his harem over when I have a handful of treats lol
