Never a dull moment when you have goats. I’ve had horses, but no goats since I moved out of parents home many moons ago. My dad had someone milk them for awhile, as his arthritis was in his hands so I had to milk them, but he eventually sold them and kept the chickens.
The kids and grands always liked the goats at petting zoos.

We had several, but 2 of them lost their mom at birth and we had to bottle feed them every 4 hours. The 1st few months we had them in a large crate in the kitchen, as nobody wanted to go out to the barn in the middle of the night. Once we could go longer they joined the others. But those 2 always came around to say hi when we were outside.

I have arthritis so I splurged and bought a milking machine - one of the best things I ever did. A lot faster than I ever was and the goats like it better.
