I have been very lucky to have found a pet sitter who does farm visits. She even learned to milk. She is a godsend! She was a former cop 😁
My favorite are the goat kids. We put a trampoline and I built a little playground... they jump and leap and do parkour almost as soon as they can walk. So cute! The hardest thing is selling the kids when they are weaned. I like chicken personalities too, and all the different noises they make when they are happy... even the rooster, despite being a bit mean, calls his harem over when I have a handful of treats lol

How sweet. I’m surprised he’s willing to share the goodies.
Ha! Speaking of mean roosters, my little Audrey got attacked by her rooster today. She is the funniest little kid, always playing with the chickens and the rooster. The rooster has gone after all of them (my daughter, the older two kids) but it was very tame for Audrey and she’d pick it up and walk around with it. Well, today, for the first time, she was walking up to him and he jumped up and spiked her in the leg with its spur. Nasty thing. I don’t know whether it had anything to do with him being a recent newlywed or not. lol
My dad loved his cattle. Each had its own personality. It was hard for him to sell the herd, especially the bull, when he couldn’t care for them anymore.
