Perhaps they are preparing to replace him with Kamala and want to emphasize to the public the considerations that would "drive" them to do that (i.e., make the public think Dementia Joe has his finger on the trigger and therefore must be removed). It also provides them with the optics to falsely portray Biden as having possession of the nuclear football.
OK, my take is that this is not about Biden. It’s about Trump’s 2nd term and limiting him.
This is also a way to keep the President from retaliating after a decapitation nuclear strike (say, by Iran or China with a surprise shipping-container attack, or a Nork EMP).
Does Congress want to make a group decision on targeting Mar-a-Lago for a drone strike, too?
