Is time to be talking about a replacement for Rush?
Steyn does not like to travel. He does radio and TV shows from his home in NH via a great connection and a green screen.
The great connection was put in by Rush’s network, he recently said, so he could do the show from home.
He subbed for Tucker last night, and he didn’t even go to NYC, he just green-screened it from home.
Let’s bury the guy first.
Yes, Bongino said so on Hannity last night. Nodules appeared in his lungs on MRI.
Pray for Dan B.
I think the show should continue on as “The Rush Limbaugh Show”, with a rotating staff of talk show hosts as it has been over the year(s). Mark Steyn and Walter Williams (RIP) are/were two of my personal favorites.
I say this is a great way of getting various voices, opinions, styles and talents discovered, groomed, polished and fighters for Conservatism known to us all. I liken the Rush Limbaugh Show as a Doctorate program for new talk show talent.
RIP Rush Limbaugh, thank you for all you have taught me.
God I did not know that. How sad!
Steyn.
Pray for Dan. He’s dealing with health issues.
“The Show Must Go On.”
Life goes on for the living.
Rest In Peace Rushbo....
Mark Steyn is probably the closest to Rush in terms of humor and original thinking. But I don’t know...I’m still coming to terms with the fact that Rush is gone. I can’t imagine anyone else in the role yet.
But is there really going to be a replacement? I mean, the Rush Limbaugh Show will just go away, and radio stations will all try to fill that time slot from the various shows out there. And maybe one of those shows will rise to the top, but I doubt it. I think conservative talk radio will start to decline without Rush, that’s just how good he was.
It’s terrible news. Dan B has been so amazing, such volcanic energy and brilliant insight!
Steyn is my first pick!
Steyn, Mark Levin. Someone who will use their reach to mobilize Conservatives. It’s all fine and well to discuss politics, but just flapping your jaws isn’t enough. We need someone who will rally us around certain legislation or protests.
He said his latest scan showed spots on his lung. Further tests needed to determine what exactly they are.
I eant Steyn to take a daytime/evening variety show approach. Combine some interviews, monologue and calls (that are replayed in the evening) with some evening at least middle-brow culture and entertainment guests that are replayed on his daytime edition. Skype his daytime interviews, at least, play both versions as streaming online videos, and ultimately work his way onto an OAN or whatever network evening play as well.
Yes, totally agree
Howie Carr could move to noon. Rick Roberts is a big favorite of mine also.
As there was only one Rush Limbaugh there will be no replacement. To think that someone can step in and do a 3 hour radio show 5 days a week is misguided, at best. Doing a shorter show with some time turned back to local affiliates seems likely.
BTW, Todd Herman has my vote.
Trump!!!!
A regular rotation of 5 guest slots/week.
No one comes close to Rush on a daily basis.
Finally, a good use of Diversity.
Snerdley or Mark Steyn
