Is time to be talking about a replacement for Rush?
“a contemporary, much younger, promising and popular radio or TV host”
Like Candace Owens? Charlie Kirk? There are some excellent younger conservatives. Most seem so serious, though; and humor MUST be there. I don’t think anyone has the depth Rush had, or ever will.
I agree with that and after thinking about it said the same basic thing to my wife last night.
Brian Kilmeade would be a good replacement.
He’s young and has a good radio persona.
My $.02 !
This is how I think it will be:
There will be no replacement for the irreplaceable. There will be a team of hosts, current guest hosts and new ones. There was a recent audition of sorts of a potential guest host or a guest cohost.
There is 32 years of legacy Rush archive to draw from. That’s around 23,000 hours of broadcast excellence. Rush is timeless. Liberal heads will be exploding for another 32 years and beyond.
Rush certainly knew the likelihood of this eventuality. I have no doubt that Rush and the EIB family had a plan for a long and prosperous EIB future.
Generations of Rush babies—present and future, along with a team of evolving hosts/cohosts and legacy Rush himself will keep EIB going indefinitely.
On Monday, Feb 22, we will probably know what the plan is. It will be a challenge to hold Rush’s audience but I think it can be done.
Buck Sexton is another good one!
Sounds like a great idea!

...or try Steve Deace from 12-2 over at the Blaze. You can get his podcast for free or watch on YouTube.
I’m not a regular listener myself—just observing that major media increasingly has political rather than economic motivation and dispersing Rush’s audience may be of interest to them.
amen I agree
Good points.
Dan hinted at that on FNF late last week.
Then it must be right! :-)
Interesting.. I tend to agree with you.
