Iâm sure by now that youâve heard of the awful, historic snow and ice storms experienced in the state of Texas over the past few days. The issues that have arisen as a result of the storm bring into light a number of extremely concerning issues around the push for âgreen energyâ that you hear Democrats talk about incessantly.
According to the Washington Examiner, former Energy Secretary under President Donald Trump and former Texas governor, Mr. Rick Perry, issued a dire warning about green energy after the catastrophe in Texas this week.
âThey donât care about your lives in those cases,â Perry said, pointing a finger at radical progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others in the Democrat party who believe wind turbines and solar panels should replace the fossil fuel industry completely.
âI mean, think about if we were in the AOC world, fast forward 10 years, and everything is solar, everything is wind,â Perry told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. âAnd you have this type of event, this type of, I mean, itâs 9 degrees in Round Top, Texas, weâre the same latitude as Houston, 9 degrees. And if you donât have power, youâre gonna, youâre gonna die. I mean, there are countless lives that could be lost with this type of reckless adhering to a philosophy that, quite frankly, is not scientific.â

Oh, Look!
A brand new blog pimp!
Here is some Pipeline math I just received in an email.
The Keystone pipeline upon completion would carry more than 800,000 barrels or 33.6 million gallons of oil through the pipeline per day. With no harmful emissions.
A Barrel of Oil is 42 gallons, not to be confused with a Drum which is 55 gallons.
Because a gallon of oil weighs between 7.5 and 7.8 lbs per gallon, most trucks can’t carry but up to 130 barrels of oil at a time without violating our department of transportation laws of 80,000 lbs. on our road ways. That’s truck and cargo weight.
It would take 6,154 more trucks going just from Canada to the Gulf Coast for that same oil and that’s every Single day.
Now a rail car, holds approx. 30,000 gallons or 700 barrels.
It would take trains everyday pulling 1,143 more rail cars per day, just pulling the oil from that pipeline from Canada to the Gulf Coast.
Trains and Trucks emitting more emissions and burning more fuel that would be eliminated by the pipeline.
So when they tell you this is about the environment, it is not, that would be a lie. Just thought you should know.
Edit: I don’t take credit for this post, but I think it’s eye opening.
It takes a real dummy or a BIDEN/HARRIS to cancel such an important project for this country.
Texans..you lost your power not due to green new deal but after a 2012 similar cold snap you were told to winterize your power plants and natural gas pumps..and you never did.
Our plants and natural gas pumps are working just fine up North becuase we spent the money to winterize them.
Now they are shocked, SHOCKED! to discover that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
The tiny violins are sobbing.
It’s only on pause I suspect. In the next two years, Americans will have had it with these leftist. We will most likely take back the house and senate.
Is this the same Rick Perry that was governor of Texas when T Boone Pickens made a deal and covered the state in windmills? And the one whose attorney general was Greg Abbott? That Rick Perry? Idiot
Take back the house and senate, to do what? Give it to the Republicans? We need to wake up and realize the Republican party gave us what’s happening in Texas. The Republicans have run Texas for the last 2 1/2 decades at least.
The republican party stabbed Trump in the back. The Republican party stabbed Trump in the back for four solid years. Taking back the house and senate would be nice, but only if Mitch McConnell, Liz Cheney, McCarthy, Lindsey Graham etc. no longer setting the agenda. And no longer picking justices like Amy conehead Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, etc.
Taking things back would be nice, but we need drastic changes inside the republican party before that is there anything worth doing. Personally, I’m gonna wait and see what direction Trump goes and follow that direction
That’s pretty classy Thud.
Texas is the 10th largest economy in the world. Provides the nation with natural gas/oil/petrochemicals, leads the nation in economic activity and produces more energy than any other state.
Conservatism thrives in Texas. So trashing us while we’ve had a serious weather event just makes you look...well...stupid.
I wish I had your optimism, because all I see for future elections is more the of the blatant, in your face fraud that happened this time.
We won’t win back anything because they won’t let us win it back and nobody on the right has the manhood to fight them on their terms, as aggressively as they push us around.
We’re too worried about being nice and not labeled and they are nothing but bullies who won’t be stopped unless made to stop.
I’m not advocating playing dirty like they do, but being as relentless in fighting back as they are in pushing us around.
I cannot disagree with anything you just wrote. Just reading the tea leaves. Folks will get real tired of the leftist real quick.
Dark Winter promised by Biden. Ya have to wonder.
I’m not exuding optimism...trust me, I’m pissed, demoralized and scared at what is coming our way in the next two years leading up to the mid-terms. The leftist know full well they have two years to enact their agenda(s).
The leftist have a slim majority in the house (10-13 seats) and the senate being 48D/2I/50R...with Camal-lah holding the tie breaking vote.
I believe just as in Obozo’s first two years nationalizing healthcare in socialistic grandeur in the middle of the night with little to no republican support...caused the house to flip to republican majority the following mid-terms.
Same will happen again. Not as certain about the senate.
Texas’ lack of planning is the fault of, um wind power, or something.
Just a mental note from me....I think I heard that we sold power to north states and they don’t want to buy it back at the retail rate since we got it at wholesale rates originally. So maybe you might thank us for freezing here?!!!
Probably true, but it doesn’t help that windpower that typically averages 15 GW in Texas is averaging just 2 GW this week.
The same Rick Perry that did not see any danger to Americans from encouraging the immigration of large numbers of muslims into Texas.
He ain’t pimping gardasil again, is he?
""While other states invest more in equipment that helps prevent freeze-offs, Texas hasn’t seen the need. North Dakota typically sees 20 days a year with freeze-off events, while the Permian Basin would normally have just four days a year with freeze-offs disrupting gas production, according to BTU Analytics.“With gas prices being low – and storage being full – the risk of 2-3 days of possible freeze-off every several years is a risk that Gulf Coast producers have been willing to take,” a report on freeze-offs prepared for ERCOT in 2013 says."
