I am thankful the communist romantic works only 18 minutes. As we beware the real one, peering over his shoulder, watching the clock make it’s rounds. Soros has set the timer.
PS: I’m freezing east of Dallas. 16 degrees. No heat, lighting since 4:30 AM, Monday, until 40 minutes of light and heat appeared, at 9:00PM, boosting temp 3 degrees before shutting down.
Doggies and I warm up in the car and charge the phone. 56 inside doesn’t feel so bad when you come back in warm, and I got hot coffee made, hoping in 18 hours I can warm up another cup, when the power rolls by... IF it rolls by.
It’s a race to jump into puffy bed and under the covers with a fur hat on and leather gloves! Ahh, Texas in winter. 🥶
I hope things get better soon for you......

Rita.. I’m so sorry. Prayers for warmth.

That’s terrible. Glad we have our fireplace insert and plenty of wood. If we had to we could sleep in front of it and be plenty warm.
You don’t have a sterno stove? You could have as much coffee, soup or whatever when ever you need it. Just takes a few minutes to get the water hot enough.
Gosh that sounds terrible Rita. Stay warm and I hope the power is on for you soon!
Texans, anyone between DFW and Waco, we have power, water and 2 spare bedrooms. We are without our downstairs central heat unit but using other means to keep house above 50. (One spare room upstairs with central heat, one downstairs with fireplace and electric space heater)
I am so sorry I did not invite yesterday, was busy with other things. But if you can travel a few miles and need a place PM me! Our power was off and on yesterday but never off more than 30 min.
Oh, my. Hope you get power back soon. Prayers up.
Over here on the eastern border, our indoor/outdoor digital thermometer recorded a -4 (four degrees below zero) minimum temp last night. Been here over 20 years now, and, no doubt, that's a record for this part of Texas. (8+ inches of snow here Sunday night...)
Except for Sunday, our "local" paper , the Texarkana Gazette, publishes digitally only -- and provides an iPad to subscribers. Apparently, the staff didn't come in to work this morning -- no news today... :-(

P.S. FreepMail coming your way...
Bless you... time to become a prepper! Get a propane space heater; I use those exchangeable bottles to feed mine because I hardly use it at all. Better yet, get a wood stove - even good for cooking. You gotta have a chimney for a wood stove however. I took out the old brick one that was worn out and put up one of those 3-wall stainless pipe chimneys. Propane is a good back up for occasional emergencies and the bottles eliminate having the hassle of a company that wants regular tank refills.
