I have frozen avocados... I let them thaw and smash them on toast and top them with an egg. Not bad. Not like fresh. Course, since I’m gluten free, it’s that rice bread, so nothing tastes the same as say an English muffin (sob sob).

Hi Petey --

Re the gluten free bread.

Try this stuff:

They have it at Sam's Club and Costco, if you belong to either of them, or check online.

Kind of spendy ($7 or $8 for two loaves at Costco), but it freezes well, and if you're desperate for a decent tasting gluten free bread, maybe you could splurge?

Food Slider:

Petey, you can always send me any gluten you aren't using. I love the stuff. ;-)

I like this allergy free bread, maybe you can find it. Made with tapioca flour.
Brand name “Ener-G”. Their “Classic White Bread made with tapioca flour” is very good. Been using it for years. 😊 Ener-G brand has other varities of bread made with other non-wheat flours, but the tapioca flour is very close to “real bread”.
