Well, Claudia Conway's American Idol audition finally aired.
The daughter of former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway and lawyer George Conway faced the judges during the season premiere of the singing competition's 19th season.
The whole thing was...interesting.
Here's what happened:
As soon as Claudia walked onstage, judge Katy Perry immediately asked her, "Are you OK?" "No, but yes," Claudia replied.
There was a brief montage featuring Conway's parents — yes, both of them. Kellyanne appeared via video call, whereas George was shown fist-bumping Claudia and waiting outside the studio during the audition. Again, just weird stuff to watch.
As for the audition itself:
First, Claudia sang Rihanna's "Love on the Brain" for a bit before Perry cut her off and asked her to try another song. Then, Claudia gave Adele's "When We Were Young" a shot.
The judges deliberated, and by a vote of 2-1 — with Luke Bryan casting the dissenting vote — they decided to send Conway to Hollywood. So it seems like she's going to be on American Idol for a bit longer.

This is a referendum on her singing abilities, she's not bad. But she definitely isn't Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson.
So, apparently because she is the foul mouthed, Trump hating, sixteen-year old daughter or the Trump/Pence campaign manger and Senior Counselor to President Donald J. Trump, she got moved to the front of the line - clearly ahead of probably more talented candidates.
So the lesson to be learned for future American Idol candidates, publicly pronounce your hate for all things Trump or conservative, trash your conservative parents and you'll have a much better chance of success with the AI judges.
Claudia is going to Hollywood!!
Maybe if she posted the nude pictures (her admitted "selfies") she has on her phone (that she accused her mother, Kellyanne Conway, of posting), the judges might just move her straight to the finals, skipping all the competition in between.
Yeah, American Idol is real.

You are correct, that is how they get viewers. However, DWTS promotes using noted personalities while American Idol promotes the “finding the needle in the haystack” singer from random candidates.
Claudia’s “audition” and golden ticket, was neither random, not based on her talent. As I said, she’s an OK singer, but definitely not in the same league of so many other, actual random candidates.
Being on A.I. will at least get Claudia out of her bedroom and out of the house, away from the other children for a little while. Plus, while she’s “singing”, she can’t make as many “I Hate My Mom!!!!” videos on Tik Tok. Win-Win for Kellyanne.
George will happily play the doting Stage Dad, since he has more time on his hands after the clamorous collapse of the Lincoln Project.
Not only ugly, but classless. She took off her shoes. Why?
In my opinion, she wants to be on reality TV (new Kim Kardashian) that’s part of the topless deal.
I believe that Kellyanne is right there in on all of this, if she wasn’t-it wouldn’t be happening.
I don’t think well of KAC.
Getting on reality TV opens them up to public opinion and these are my opinions.

Today’s Understatement: I have never understood the dynamics of that family and I still don’t. Firey hostilities torching left and right. Saying things you can never take back.
Vicious public smackdowns. Over and Over and Over. I don’t get it.
Maybe Kellyanne grew up in a similarly abusive situation. Maybe this is if not acceptable, still considered ‘normal’.
George’s day will come soon enough. Eventually, Claudia will treat him the way she has seen her father treat her Mom.

Her singing sucked, and the 2 judges who voted Yes were likely told to. The producers are stringing the useful idiot along for ratings.
P.S. She’s disgustingly self-centered and immature, even for 16.
That was cringe-worthy. She is surprisingly unattractive.
