If leftists are confident that they would win, and if they see this as a quick path to their idea of utopia, there is nothing to stop them from continuing what they are doing and even to ramp it up.
Any sensible person would welcome the opportunity to reassure doubters that everything is fine. Governments, alas, march to a different beat, asserting that a person's eyes are lying to him.
Try reporting a UFO sighting, for example. At least Project Blue Book went through the motions of investigation.

A claim of election fraud is not a lie, but an opinion. And it isn't sedition to have an inconvenient opinion, especially when the perpetrators of the deed laid out their grand conspiracy as a matter of public record in Time magazine.
We have been abused and insulted and have dealt with mobs calling for our destruction. Democrats have done nothing to alleviate the stresses, provided no explanations, showed no respect for our being rational actors. We obstruct their path, and if they can find a way to turn the military on us, breaking our emotional bond with them, they will do it. Pelosi requested machine guns when the National Guard was called to D.C. I'm sure Biden can write an E.O. to "clarify" the Posse Comitatus Act.

They probably don’t really want a war. They will deploy the police and United States military against the “white supreemists” in a limited manner, picking off “rugged individuals” one by one. That’s already underway. They wanted to impose a police state. They pretty well have that via the virus. Now, it’s a matter of making it as permanent as possible. There is NO political resistance.
The future they seek is a morbidly obese, beige, gender non-binary, blob, sitting in its pod, eating bug paste and soy, watching porn on the internet, and ordering sex toys online (using credit).
Is that future viable? Of course not. Do our overlords care? Of course not.

Democrats learned an important lesson during the Great Depression. The country was in economic ruins but they got elected and those who did lived pretty well, as did the few Republican Quislings. FDR ran out country like modern day Venezuela and were it not for WW2 we might still be living ‘The New Deal”.
My fear is the obvious parallels between China and that of pre-WW2 Germany.

They will push and push until they make things so intolerable states start to pull out of the Union and they will swoop in and crush it—use the “Rebellion” to change the laws, take away the guns and usher in a Peoples Utopia. Biden will have war powers to end the Republic as we know it. All for 100 years of Total Democrat Control. The goal is to get what they want. BUT, they may have overstepped—The break away states may not be so easy to overcome. What if Texas seizes the Nukes and threatens to use them on The Federalists? You can bet The Federalist blue states will have Chinese support, even Troops to “Put down the Racist, Homophobic Rebels” You can almost see how CNN will cover it.
1936 Spain would be a good analogy as well; the leftist gubmint tried to “fundamentally transform” the country after a very close election, and it all fell apart. With rare exceptions, the gubmint never re-asserted control over any territory; what the military revolt controlled slowly grew until it was all over three years later. Before losing the war, the gubmint purged its own ranks of any centrists and left the operation of the war in the hands of the communists (and Spain’s gold in the hands of Stalin).
I have no illusions about a military role in this struggle; their security provided for Biden;s installation said it all (they are paid by Caesar, so they’ll do Caesar’s bidding - whoever is on the throne). I doubt they’d openly fire on American civilians, but I don’t expect them to support any opposition either. This will just be a continued low-profile war against the fringes.
Consider there are two kinds of Leftists:
- Progressives don’t realize their aggressive feel-good redistribution & cancellation plans will result in civil war. They may worry about an armed Right, but as a dark-fantasy boogeyman. They still tacitly believe in democracy & industry, but don’t grasp either well.
- Communists are absolutely he11-bent on breaking the system, keen on invoking a civil war where the Right can be construed as domestic enemies. The issue is never the issue, the issue is always The Revolution. They literally want to eliminate capitalism & currency, view democracy as a means of legitimizing a Party-chosen ballot, and really don’t know how industry works.
The two work together nicely. Their short-term goals are similar, they both feel righteous about taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Some intend war, some don’t (but are pushing that way).

I think that the Chinese have been heavily involved with the political left here in the USA since Clinton and maybe before. I think the left is fascinated with the power of the Chinese leaders and think they can share it even if it means teaming with the Chinese and against the US citizen opposition. The US politicians don’t realize that after the Chinese help them load citizens on the metaphorical “railroad car to a vacation” that the last few open spots will be for them.
We need to remind them that we’re all neighbors.
Oh my goodness. I’m always amazed when people like this American Greatness author throw out the term ‘Civil War,’ apparently wholly unfamiliar with the ‘why’ and ‘how’ the first Civil War came to be. In 1859, we had a skeleton standing army and the whatever federal law enforcement presence existed, it was TINY. Instead, we had state militias that ended up representing their own interests, not the interests of the federal government.
Today, the civilian law enforcement apparatus is one of the best funded, trained and ARMED ‘armies’ on the planet. Even the Dept of Education and USDA buys ammunition by railcar. Using tools the people gave them to fight organized crime and foreign terrorists, they can surveille anyone at any time and have the firepower to confront and immediately put down any seditious conspirators.
The only reason the BLM protests were allowed to continue is because the government allowed them to continue. They won’t be so kind to ‘rightwing, white nationalists.’
There will be no civil war. Instead, there will be a second amnesty followed by the slow, docile whimpers of a dying culture and nation. Welcome to Venezuela.
Agree completely, When looking at what has happened in the US the last four years in terms of racial animus and the tribalization of the nation, and attempting to answer the question: Cui bono? Only one name comes to mind: The Chinese Communist Party.

It won’t be conventional war, but a low-profile war akin to that along the frontier during the French and Indian Wars - so prepare accordingly for local versus national actions. Most of the violence of the past few years has been far away from where taxpaying Americans and their families live and work; here in NJ the Dem leaders of our gutted cities managed to keep political violence (not drug-related violence) to a minimum because they know they can’t bite the hand that feeds. In the end, the ChiCom flu did that - many people haven’t returned to jobs in the cities, and it will soon be a full year.

Human nature and history seem to indicate that we are far from any sort of upheaval as long as we are the fattest, most passively entertained and least used to sustained physical effort of any people ever. We did amazing things the romans couldn’t even imagine with our modern version of bread and circuses, like actually making the poorest people the most likely to be obese.
Can it last? I guess we shall see but I think they have every motive to try to make make it sustainable.
