Biden urges Congress to pass 'commonsense' gun law reforms on 3rd anniversary of Parkland shooting
On the third anniversary of the Parkland school shooting, President Biden called upon Congress to "enact commonsense gun law reforms."
In a Sunday statement, Biden recalled the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, which killed 17 people, including 14 students.
"For three years now, the Parkland families have spent birthdays and holidays without their loved ones," he said. "They’ve missed out on the experience of sending their children off to college or seeing them on their first job after high school. Like far too many families, they’ve had to bury pieces of their soul deep within the Earth. Like far too many families — and, indeed, like our nation — they’ve been left to wonder whether things would ever be okay."
Nikolas Cruz, the suspected lone gunman in the shooting, has pleaded guilty in hopes of avoiding the death penalty, and his trial has been indefinitely delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Since the shooting, several Parkland students have become activists. Biden appeared to reference them in his statement.
"Over these three years, the Parkland families have taught all of us something profound. Time and again, they have showed us how we can turn our grief into purpose — to march, organize, and build a strong, inclusive, and durable movement for change," he said.
The president added that his administration "will not wait" for another mass shooting to happen before taking action.

>>Biden urges Congress to pass ‘commonsense’ gun law reforms<<
Leftist code for: no non-LEO gets guns of any kind except democrats’ bodyguards.
You bet, Joe. We can do that.
Commonsense about gun reform laws means no gun reform laws.
That was easy. Need anything else?
That is their current plan.
They intend to take our rifles from our cold dead hands, but not necessarily by force.
Well, there’s always the threat of force, but the enemy has been playing the long game for decades now. Their biggest mistake, from their perspective, would be to over-reach, to satisfy their screeching constituents demanding to be disarmed, locked up, and bankrupted. It’s possible, if not probable, that enough normies will wake up and just say “hell no”.
Not holding my breath.
Biden urges Congress to pass 'commonsense' unconstitutional gun law reforms on 3rd anniversary of Parkland shooting.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."
As long as the feds are passing out money like “Free Triple S&H Green Stamps with your Order,”
let’s make a good quality firearm available for everybody (just send us voucher coupons and we will go select our choice of pistol or shotgun or rifle or whatnot, keep bureaucrappy out of it!). Make more firearms safety classes available as possible. Return shooting sports and firearms safety classes to high schools!
Repeal all “control” laws, terminate A T and F, offer its staffers alternative jobs that are honest, constitutional, and actually useful.
It is time for the Supreme Court to rule that all laws on the books are unconstitutional because they violate the Second Amendment, “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”
Too many unconstitutional laws have been passed by rogue lawyers in black robes that infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. Get rid of them all!
Edited for clarity/accuracy.
That's an excellent point.!
Any move against the Constitution and the American people without being approved by 2/3 of the states is, in my opinion, nothing less then insurrection.. Perhaps even Treason..! :(
The Constitution IS the law of the land.. If thay don't like it, then they should get the hell out.!! I'm sure Venezuela would love to have the commie scumbags..!!! :(
Commonsense like Utah just did.
I bet that drugs have killed far more than those killed in school by shooters. Still with all the “reforms” the drug case continue to kill more than the shooters. Want gun laws? Apply them to Chicago for a test run. See how ell they work there.
That is a fine looking Nylon 66.
Stolen elections have even worse consequences.
It is time for the Supreme Court to rule that all laws on the books are unconstitutional because they violate the Second Amendment, “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s a nice dream, but THIS court is never going to do that.
The USSC has from day one, stuck their finger in the air and made up law out of thin air in order to justify which way the wind was blowing.
>>The government has done this for machine guns and sawed off rifles since 1934. But I have read that if you die you cannot pass along your registered machine gun to your kin. It is confiscated.
No, they get bought and sold all the time. No more new ones can be registered since 1986, though.
Never give up your weapons, folks. The government will eventually murder all of us in mass if we do.
True.
Sadly, with the NRA weakened, and the other gun rights groups in a state of disarray, this doesn’t look good.
Commonsense? Biden/Leftist do not know what that word means.
You’d think they’d come up with new euphemisms over time. Of course preceding their “common sense” reforms, we’ll need to “have a conversation” in which they tell us what is ok to think
