A massive national cheerleading competition is descending on downtown Atlanta this weekend.
Around 40,000 youth cheerleaders, coaches and spectators from across the country are expected to attend -- prime conditions, according to CDC guidelines, for a possible Covid-19 superspreader event.

They restrict your movements getting into the arena where the team is performing as well. They’ve done an outstanding job in my opinion. I hope the teams and spectators do not get the China Virus from this event. If this does end up being a super spreader event they’ll likely cancel the biggest event at wide world of sports in Orlando. These kids are just so happy to be performing the sport they love again. I’m thankful for that. Oh and to toot my own horn, my daughters team is in first place for day 1. They did better than they have all season tonight.
Every gathering will be described as a “superspreader event” by the Marxist Media, except when the gathering is important to them (e.g., BLM-Antifa riots).

These “super spreader” concerns always turn out to be ridiculously overwrought and it seems like there is no big contagion at these events.
Just think of all the tens of thousands that attended the Trump Rallies. You didn’t hear of them becoming “super spreader” events.
Now the big Biden rallies with ten people sitting in their circles? That was entirely different.
Oh, gosh....I remember attending these massive cheer competitions...years ago :-)

Gatherings of illegal aliens at the border is not a “superspreader” event.
My niece is on one of these cheerleading teams out of Pittsburgh who compete nationally, and they’ve won more awards than I can count. I think she’s 14 now. A couple years back at Christmas, she was walking around the family home doing these gymnastic thingies that were downright painful to watch. I was never that limber. Then again, I’m a guy who swims like a cement mixer.
I remember those days.
That’s all they did, everywhere they went....all through the house, outside the house, off the diving board, at games, etc. :-)
Buuuut,40,000 or more crossing the border with who knows what health problems is okay....
She did this flip in front of me where she just casually leaned backward until her palms were resting on the floor behind her heels and then rolled one leg over the other until she was upright again. As fluid as water. It made my old army injury start to throb like lumbago. Is it my graying memory (and hair) or does it seem like all the regional and national competitions they hold nowadays are either in Atlanta or Indianapolis? My sister and her husband are forever flying to one or the other for those things for her......I never hear her say they’re flying to Des Moines or Walla Walla for an event.
Good. It needs to be spread. It’s a mild disease with >99.999% chance of survival for young people. CHEERLEADING is more dangerous than the Rona to these kids!
Spread the damned thing until everyone’s been exposed and be done with it.
