Augie is correct and caution SHOULD be used if you're using Preen. That's why I recommend corn gluten due to the Treflan being hazardous to waterways and some of our 'good' bugs.

Its also a 9-0-0 fertilizer. Pricey, but I use it on my lawn.

Corn meal gluten....If you have problem with ants use crushed corn meal gluten, powdered sugar, and some borax. They cant digest the CMG, borax is a slow acting toxin that will be taken back to the colony without killing the worker ants in the process. You could also add some diatomaceous earth. (Keep your bait station dry and near your problem area.)
