No To Elk, Elkhounds, and Eagles. If it’s disrespectful to name teams after people, it’s also disrespectful to name teams after animals. The poor animals can’t even complain about it. Where’s PETA?

Some time ago, Canadian company was putting a new product into the market that was round pellets of sodium hydroxide. Very white in color. The name they settled on was Polar something and left it up to the employees to select the something part of the name. The most popular name by far was Polar Bear Balls.
So, this company was actually pretty smart preselecting a drab set of names to vote on.
