Yes, it was me.

At the time, I was thinking that things would largely be wrapped up around now in terms of the start of the Great Awakening, Trump being full ensconced on his second term, the ‘rona having been shown to be DS psyops weapon, etc.

I was kind of operating under the assumption that most on this thread who were interested in the meet-up thought the same way.

Things are, I think we all have to admit, very unpredictable right now.

I was planning on driving to S.D., which would require going through IL (unless I wanted to go out of my way through Missouri), but it is hard to tell what kind of stupid quarantine thing could be going on in a state like IL in June.

I’m not eager to deal with airports and planes in the age of masking.

But I am glad that people are bringing up the subject of this meet-up. We probably do need to address whether we want to go forward with it or not in light of where things stand now.

I personally am in a flexible enough position at work and in my personal life that I can still make the June date without having to have this firmed up too much in advance.

I was going to work with defconw on finding a meeting place, but I have not bugged her about it yet because our whole world is basically so unstable and I had no idea how many people to plan needing space for.

(If I spelled her screenname wrong, someone please ping her.)

So, I guess I would say now is a good time to kind of take everyone’s temperature as far as where they stand on meeting up in S.D. in June since we are half-way through Feb. and we don’t know what the hell is going on in the world and what it will look like next week, let alone a few weeks or months from now.

I think we can ponder a bit longer on the meet-up. Early March should give us some direction.

What week was it that we would be meeting again (if it happens)? I know it coincided with one of my vacation weeks available, but I want to plan things out, even if I have to change the plan later.
