Thanks for the answer, but I’ve got a mental block on Delta, it is just not computing for me.
Just think of delta this way:
“Delta” begins with “D”.
“Difference” begins with “D”.
When you see someone use “delta” here they are usually referring the difference from one point in time and another - so a time difference.
