Oh, heck no. The Trumpites next door to our pandemic getaway, who seem as devoted to the ex-president as you can get without being Q fans, just plowed our driveway without being asked and did a great job.
How am I going to resist demands for unity in the face of this act of aggressive niceness?
Of course, on some level, I realize I owe them thanks — and, man, it really looks like the guy back-dragged the driveway like a pro — but how much thanks?
These neighbors are staunch partisans of blue lives, and there aren't a lot of anything other than white lives in neighborhood.
This is also kind of weird. Back in the city, people don’t sweep other people’s walkways for nothing.

Charles de Gaulle’s 100 birthday was 1990. 44 years after the liberation of France. The idea anyone in France would have multiple pictures of Petain, who was convicted of treason, and sentence to death, is hard to believe. Petain was 89 years old when he was tried. De Gaulle commented his sentence to life imprisonment. Petain was a WWI hero, but was a feeble old man serving as a puppet for the Vichy
Also, how old would someone have to be in 1990 to have fond remembrances of Nazi occupied France (1939-1944)? At least mid-60s. I guess it is possible retired people offer boarding for foreign students. But the picture seems odd. It would be like having a picture of Benedict Arnold in the US.
That said, there is an outside shot these people in 1990 were actually neo-Nazis.

When I read the article, I was immediately reminded of this scene from Schindler’s List, when Commandant Amon Goth is talking to the Jewish woman, Helen Hirsch, who he made into his servant. He says, “I realize you are not a person in the strictest sense.” He asks, “Is this the face of a rat?” “Are these the eyes of a rat?” The propaganda of the Nazis is speaking loudly to him. Yet something deeper is making him question the anti-Semitic messages. He acknowledges that she is a good servant and a good cook. But how can this be? How can there be anything good in her at all? After all, she is a Jew.

Commandant Goth finally gives in to his pathological anti-Semitic hatred, refusing to give in to any kindness, and instead, decides to beat her. But there is no audience in the room for which he is performing.
But the author, Virginia Heffernan, of this anti-Trump article is performing for the readers of the Los Angeles Times. It’s as though she will acknowledge the kindness of her pro-Trump neighbors—if only briefly—who cleaned off her driveway. But the sneering hatred comes out in the end, again, like Commandant Goth. She must let her readers know that the anti-Trump hatred lives loudly in her, and that in the end, she will abide by her hatred and mistrust.
The anti-Trump propaganda is living loudly in the Left and is becoming increasing audacious. And the propaganda says, “Forget what you personally experience with a Trump supporter. Instead, keep on the front burner how bad they are.” The anti-Trump message from the MSM must stay front and center and is to be believed, no matter what you may personally experience when you encounter a Trump supporter.
We are truly in a very bad place in American history.

Look. You hire a man to clean out the corruption, the crap that leads to the corruption along with the policies that the corrupt provide to their supporters in order to establish and keep the power, and tgere will be backlash

She basically doxxed the female cop next door and ascribed every manner of hatred towards her, but the jealousy is palpable -- the law-enforcement officer represents everything she can never be -- hard work, community honors, who attracted the kind of husband who plows the neighbors walk just because he's a good guy.
