The EMT is putting pressure on what is probably the primary wound on upper chest. I do see surrounding purplish bruising on her upper left chest. Lower on her side it looks like there is a dressing for a sucking chest wound. (Russell? Yellow tape w red vent at top?)
That there is a primary wound area and an apparent secondary would seem to indicate that a either a piece of glass was responsible for one of the wounds or the round or round fragment was deflected from the primary site and exited in the location of the lower dressing. Also note that there appears to be an IV line across her stomach.
The blood draining from her mouth is bright red, which indicates an arterial bleed. If any of the round exited from her back you would see blood on her back shoulder, which I do see.
Any ER Doctors or EMTs reading this care to comment? She looks to me like she has passed at this point.

If someone wants research for pictures of DC EMTs and Firefighters and compare them with the people in the youtube above. If you find them and they are real Firefighters and EMTs then it would support her being for-real dead.
I think I saw a post by freeper David Chase stating he was an EMT. You might want to ping him to your question above.
I’m confidant Ashli was shot in the neck and the bullet hit her cervical spine area causing her to present with postering indicating immediate Neurogenic Shock.
Note her hands as she laid and the position.......very classic text book case.
The lack of large amounts of obvious bleeding does not indicate that the bullet missed her artery and vein but bleeding could be internal as her throat, stomach, mouth could have filled with blood with a new hole from the bullet. I can only assume the bullet struck possible the C-3 to C-5. Somewhere in that area. She appeared to have continued breathing for at least a few respirations, but that’s difficult to see.
If true, along with her Neuro display, a bullet in the area described would allow some respirations but short term and minimal.
Your pic........I can’t tell you an Advanced Life Support unit would not place a Chest Wall Cath or and IP Cath.
A sucking chest wound patch with a vent, yes.
It appeared to me that D.C. EMS is not Advanced Life Support.
Problem is the gun is pointed to the left and at around thigh level. Nobody wants to make these accusations but the film doesn’t match the story.
