When my children were born we lived in New Hampshire. My daughter was born on February 1st. We had snow just about every day in January, over 48 inches. Since we never knew when my wife would go into labor I had to keep the driveway clear so in addition to my work I was shoveling snow constantly. As soon as I had some free time I bought a 4 wheel drive Ford F350 with an 8 foot Fisher plow and only had to shovel the walkway and the roof after that.
That truck was a beast. Every once in a while when the weather was really bad I would drive it into work. You could watch the gas gauge go down as you went along. Happy days.
Well, you obviously know snow - it would be nice to escape it, but I’ll probably live in Wisconsin until the day I die. If my situation changes, the plan is to move to Tennessee. Or Spain. ;)
And, we have a Ford F350! It’s a 2000-something Diesel with an extra gas tank and all sorts of doors and storage on it for Beau’s tools. She IS a BEAST; I need a ladder to get up in her! It’s always my job to pump the brakes when Beau is bleeding/re-filling the lines.
She’s plugged in for the winter right now, but she started, yesterday!
