I will have to go back and read the article again. I don’t remember reading about actually ingesting the peroxide but I will double check.
Also, LJ, I will check up on the food grade type.
I’m terribly guilty these days of skimming articles/papers. Need to slow down especially about the important things.
I tell you, headlines are about all I can manage these days. It’s like a descent into hell and affecting everything. Health stuff though is important to read with care and find more than one source usually!
As long as no one drinks hydrogen peroxide I think we’re good.
Ingesting H2O2 will induce vomiting. Veterinarians recommend feeding a teaspoon of it to your dog when he has eaten something he shouldn’t. (A friend of mine did this to her puppy, and yup! after a few retches, up came a sock.) And 17 strings mentioned his experience with drinking it...
Side slide of peroxide...
If your dog ever eats something dangerous, (like my dog once ate part of a plastic bag) you can induce vomiting very quickly to get it back out.
It varies by the weight of the dog.
Essentially, ice cream with a little peroxide.
They love they ice cream and ignore the peroxide.
Get them outside immediately after done licking the bowl.
It will take mere minutes for the tilt-a-whirl amusement park projectile vomiting to start, but once expelled it’s over.
AGAIN, CHECK THE DOSE ACCORDING TO DOG WEIGHT
...cat lovers...what can I say...I don’t have cats...never looked that one up.
