I got tested through my county here in California(Butte) and it was free. They did not ask for any insurance details, just who your insurance was, if available.

But now they have my DNA in some database in China.....

Got mine through Walgreens. Totally free. Make appt. Drive through. Results came back within an hour.

Now I do believe there could be a fee for your ins co.

Just hunt around. Maybe it was free because I'm 77.
