Just want to share my experience with Free COVID Testing. Was very close to someone who tested positive at the end of November. Went to a facility with a friend on mine that offered "Free Covid Testing" They asked for both of our insurance information and when ask why they respond; for recording keeping only, the test is free. Both of us just received statements from our insurance companies, Aetna and Blue Cross showing a charge of $350 from Excel Clinical Labs Inc. Both our plans paid $105 and say we may be obligated for $245. So how is this free?
By the way, I was working side by side fixing a car for two days with someone who was positive and I never contracted it.
It is ridiculous to get tested without the presence of symptoms.
Providers won’t test you for the flu without symptoms.
Two years ago I got the flu for the first time in 40 years (as far as I know). Damn near died after it morphed into pneumonia - 4 days in the hospital. My wife was sick, but a lot less so. The hospital showed no interest in testing her for the flu.
Don’t be a negative Nelly.
My buddy was charged over $1200 for the free tests. I can’t wait until the government take MORE control over healthcare so it will be even more freer.
I got tested through my county here in California(Butte) and it was free. They did not ask for any insurance details, just who your insurance was, if available.
But now they have my DNA in some database in China.....
If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait until it’s free.
The entire COVID19 scam is an extortion racket using Colds and Flu as the method of fear and intimidation, government and the medical industrial complex are the racketeering mobsters.
It's goddam colds and flu same crap we've had to live with all our lives, but now its a yoke around our necks
I try to be a good conductor, copper!
mine was free. my wife’s was free. never heard of coworker (there were many) say his test was out of pocket.
it’s January, so maybe you’re covering your 2021 deductible.
Today if that happened you would have had “COVID19” and they probably would have killed you with a ventillator
I had to get a couple of tests. Once before surgery I had scheduled I needed the “free test” coordinated by the hospital, but they only tell you if you test positive. I never got the results and before surgery had to ask the doctor “what’s the result”. He said it was negative. Then I got invited to Hawaii, which requires a negative proof certificate. We went to a private clinic for that and they told us it was about $200 but our insurance would cover it. Negative result, but I’ll have to check the statement to see if they or I were billed. Nothing out of pocket so far.
Well, I’m a hermit and even with the small number of people I come into contact with there have been at least three with symptoms and two of those tested positive. No serious or hospitalized cases, though.
Whoever advertised it as free is liable. You can sue them if they falsely advertised, alternatively, you can complain to the appropriate agencies (whatever they are).
In fact, come to think of it , it was probably SARS COV2 ( COVID19) that we had. I was getting that too, they called it a “ viral flu “ and said there was nothing they could do. I demanded antibiotics after a lot of demands for an xray and threats to sue, and the pneumonia cleared up in three days after starting the antibiotics (happened several times, 2012, 2016, 2017)
Just another way the government commitd fraud....multiply this by 10 and you can get a glimpse at Medicare and welfare fraud!!!
My better half and I planned a trip where we had to get a test. I didn’t want to do the free test and I found out we could purchase a test from our pharmacy, take it home, do the spit thing into the thing, send it off, got the results back by email - for about $140 each. Didn’t have to go through insurance.
That's how it is with my "primary care physician," whom I never see when I go there. The place works like a clearing house for patients. They refer you to this or that (the eye doc, the ear doc, the orthopedic, whatever).
Now with covid, if I went there, I'd have to convince a nurse before being allowed in the building. They're considered the best around but I never got the impression they care about their patients. And of course nothing happens without an insurance card, you better have that up front.
I enjoy a succinct message, and the video I am posting about Covid vaccine is anything but, being about 56 minutes long. But worth listening to. https://brandnewtube.com/upload/videos/2021/01/bRSbKCIIu3MkQusBCQsR_12_85f27ca6c864400f20e8fb490304881c_video_720p_converted.mp4?fbclid=IwAR0hpma4DiJpFCsdhhVqPU55uOoR7ObgnhBCpe9oEUnE_32Bn68Fj3qbtQE
Unless the lab comes back and bills you, it was free. Update us later.
That seems like fraud, unless it was clearly spelled out.
“...Have not heard of a single one of them having had the china cold. Not. One.”
Yes, isn’t that odd, to say the least. Well...in my opinion...

We have been given basic training on how to follow orders regardless of the truth or use of the order.
I have found NOT ONE scientific paper where a mask has done anybody anygood at anytime. Mostly people just don’t get sick...and if they do, the sickness doesn’t last for long.
certainly no worse than the H1N1 flu....
I am in my 80’s and the person who lives here with me is in his 70’s. We were sick (a cold) a year ago fall and winter— a pretty long time with a “cold”...about 3 or 4 weeks. Have had no after effects and have never been dx’with ABs or any thing else with our new drag in town.
