A Florida teenager who authorities say killed his mom when he was 15
after an argument about his school grades was sentenced Friday to
45 years in prison.
Gregory Ramos, now 17, reportedly pleaded guilty to first-degree murder
last month in the strangling death of Gail Cleavenger, 46, in 2018.
After he killed her, he buried her underneath a burn pit at a nearby
church and reported she had gone missing after he staged a fake burglary
at the house, authorities have said, according to FOX 35 in Orlando.

He will be real popular in prison....
I take it he wasn’t an Honor’s student?
Public School grades?
Yes he was, he got Honor and stayed Honor till she was DEAD.
He does not deserve to suckle the good citizens of Florida’s tax dollars.
He deserves a bullet.
Have his grades improved?
“He will be real popular in prison”
As I understand it minors are segregated in under age facilities.....but when he turns 18 however....
Dats what the story implies. lol
I’d jump off a tall building before ever hitting or hurting my mom. This lil demon has to live with that reality his whole miserable life. Perish the thought.
Pheeew.....
You must have received “Honors” on “Bad Dad Pun Day” at your kid’s school.....😂
“After he killed her, he buried her underneath a burn pit at a nearby

Wow, this kid has a demon in him.
That’s because Dr. Ben Carson is the only black man who I can recall ever saying publicly that his mother scolded him over his school grades.
I didn’t see any mention of his father. Should I be surprised?
Poor kid, now he’s an orphan
Had he done this in NY, chances are he would have gotten less than 5 yrs.
I don’t know the whole story. What I do know is this kid is very sick and needs to stay locked up.
At the same time, I have heard of students who earned straight A’s in 95% of there grades, but get a B- in one class. That parent focuses only on that B-, angrily demanding to know why in the world this could have ever happened?
Such a kid feels like a failure. Most kids will try harder to turn that “terrible-horrible-awful” B- into an A next semester. That is the preferred outcome. Ask any Tiger-Mom. Others will quickly grow to resent the source of their anxiety, the parent.
Let me guess. At the risk of indulging in stereotyping, those students who work harder are Asian.
That’s not to say that other young people don’t work hard.
I’m sure Neil deGrass Tyson (sp? He’s the narrator of Cosmos and an astrophysicist) was pushed to studying harder. I’m white and my dad reviewed my report card and wasn’t happy with anything less than an A.
My dad felt the same way. Long ago as a copper he got a call to a home where some 18yo thug was chasing him mom trying to hit her with a pipe. As told by my dad's partner to me at his funeral, he jumped from the squad car, ran into the home, saw the guy with the pipe and gave him 3 to drop it or he would drop him and began a quick count. The thug dropped the pipe. On the way back to the PD, the thug decided to kick my old man. Next stop, hospital emergency ward. Its a wonder what a black jack can do. Needed some dental work too. My dad was not a violent type, but there were some lines one did not cross, this clown went over two: trying to maim his mom and assaulting my copper dad.
