Normally, whenever a Republican wins the Presidency, the media treats their inauguration as a somber event. And whenever a Democrat wins the Presidency, the media treats their inauguration as a celebration.
So it’s very interesting to see the media covering Biden’s inauguration with the same somber tone that they would reserve for a victory by the likes of a Bush or Romney, while Republican voters are chomping at the bit to drive the Bush-Romney wing of the party into the ground, once and for all
