Many have offered up reasons for the military buildup all over the country, including over 26,000 in DC alone. I've pondered this for days and here's all I've been able to come up with:
1. You don't need 26,000 national guard troops to guard DC.
2. The people from Jan. 6, whichever sides they were on, are not hanging around for another run at the Capitol.
3. I do not believe the theory that these troops are there to round up all of the leftist criminals and send them to Guantanamo.
4. The only logical explanation is that this a show of force by the new regime. This still seems like overkill. Note that they're now vetting these guardsmen and have rejected two of them for "far-right connections."
5. You don't spend this kind of money and show of force for a single event if you can kill several birds with one stone. I theorize that the Biden administration is going to be making several highly consequential announcements in the first week of his presidency, and these will all be highly unpopular with about 50% of the country. THIS is why the troops are necessary in DC and throughout the country. We're being told about some of these announcements, but let's see what all gets slapped down on the Oval office desk in the next 14 days. Whatever is coming down the pike, the Leftists are worried that the citizens will revolt as the tidal wave of leftist gobbledygook is rolled out.
Does anyone know when the troops are supposed to leave? If what I said above is true, they won't be leaving right away.
Hillary is going to be there as a guest of Nancy Pelosi. 20,000 National Guard will be providing drink service Hillary thinks all service members are her servants.
Its all theater to reinforce the idea Republicans and Trump supporters are violent evil people.

The Great Lie has two parts. The first is that if they don't protect DC, then the ‘insurrectionists’ will come back. The second part of the Great Lie is ‘if they weren't worried about the insurrectionist, then the inauguration would have had a billion people at it.’
Next year at the presidential address, will we see a parade of missiles, tanks, aircraft, and polished goose-stepping troops? Will Biden watch while wearing a medal-laden military uniform?
Interesting conversation with the wife of a National Guardsman. She was pretty upset and said her husband was called up about a week ago to our state Capitol. She said this wad the first time in his over 20 years he got orders to deploy with NO END DATE. What’s up with that?
I suggest nothing and I am too old to do anything, so whoever is monitoring us for the government can ignore me.

There was speculation that one of the guards that helped scalese the day he was shot shot her. he is kind of a nut brazilian. The arm band identified him. I forget his name.

I believe you are more correct than those who claim that Trump has them stationed there for his purposes and somehow he’s going to miraculously sworn in tomorrow for four more years.
We hear a lot about how many gun owners are in the US.
It doesn’t matter.
