Have you seen any reasonable excuse offered for the massive military build-up in the capital?
The last time I checked, this was the USA. A free country. A country where, when mobs of thugs were destroying Minneapolis, Portland, Kenosha, and other cities, the media reacted in horror at the suggestion that a few National Guard troops might help return calm for the residents trying to live peacefully in their homes, do business as much as possible in the circumstances, and stay afloat during a pandemic. As Portland’s Mayor Ted Wheeler said when offered federal troops to quell the violence, “This is not the America we want.” The very idea is repugnant!
Now, I am seeing pictures of Washington DC preparing to inaugurate Biden to the Presidency, while 25,000 armed troops are parading around, dividing the city into zones, barricading it, and walling it. Guns bristling from Coast Guard ships in the Potomac. It’s chilling!
I also saw pictures of a mass of armed SWAT guarding Governor Newsom’s home in Sacramento. Against what, exactly?
What don’t I know here? I feel just a tad queasy, worried because this response is so far out of character for our country, and so over-the-top compared to anything that has happened — the incursion into the Capitol was small beer compared to the riots in many other cities all last summer. There’s also been virtually no coverage of who was involved in the January 6th events, other than seeing some BLM/Antifa types that were indeed involved freed without bail.
Oh, and Ashli Babbitt died, and we saw a cufflink-clad arm that held out a gun and shot her in the throat. Because, you know, giving us information that’s accurate about what and who, all of whom have no doubt been identified because of CCTV,
Colonial-era pastors preached fire and brimstone and the Word of God, and afterwards; went out and shot redcoats. Good times.

Sadly those churches are few and far between. IMO, the offering plate is the final word that determines what is preached many of the pulpits.
What is going on? Here’s my take.
In the Vietnam war, The Viet Cong (VC) were sacrificed by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) during the 1968 Tet. The stronger communists go rid of the weaker.
In WWII, the Nazi SS killed off the Nazi SA during the Knight of the Long Knives. The stronger got rid of the weaker.
Is it possible that the hard core communists pulling the democrats strings (China, etc.) have setup the weaker liberal organizations like QAnon, ANTIFA, and BLM to be sacrificed this week in a battle that they will blame on Trump supporters? The stronger communists getting rid of the weaker? Two birds, one stone?
When did Qanon become a liberal organization...?
Wow! I go to a small Southern Baptist Church. We are far from perfect, but we do not get money or ask for money from the government. We do not have Recovery Night. We are all sinners.
I think it has something to do with BiteOne, although not in the way that most of the public has convinced themselves of.
We shall see.

That’s because it is. Anytime insurgents overthrow a government, the military is always involved.
The question now; Is the military there to enforce an illegal and unconstitutional inauguration of Joe Biden? Or are they there to put down an open rebellion against legally elected president Trump?
I think we all know the answer to that.
Where was the church(protestant &catholic) when Roe v wade was passed? Where was the church when prayer was removed from school? When schools taught children about “two mommies” & the joy of sodomy? Where was the church when homosexuals took over pulpits? Legalized homosexual “marriage”?
The past several decades has provided numerous opportunities for the American church to be salt & light.
Instead it got fat & happy & comfortable. And now is so weakened by apostasy & worldly influence it is impotent in the face of evil.
So let’s stop wondering “what’s led to this”?.
And let’s stop blaming everything else for the church’s failure.

Where were all of these troops when cities were burning this past summer? Reasonable folks expected some type of response along these lines but saw nothing but the govt give a wide berth to rioters. That is one reason we the people have lost faith in out institutions.

In hindsight, we see now that President Trump should’ve sent in the National Guard to Portland and Seattle and hell holes like that and put down the antifa mob. But because he did not do so, they have been so emboldened as to steal an election and in turn continue the overthrow of America, now at our nations capital.

2) They really do expect violence. They are always a day late & a dollar short so they are back on Jan. 5.
3) This is a setup with fascist so-called antifa dressed as Trumpers so that they can initiate a false flag.
4) There is a genuine FOREIGN threat to Biteme that no one is talking about. This is hard to believe. I mean, the whole world wants Biteme in there rather than Trump, esp. the ChiComs.
5) The Q story: The troops are all gonna arrest the Deep State.

Yes, they already did this on Jan. 6. Just like accusing their opponents of being Russian operatives, they will keep using something that worked in the past.

Definitely! Renewing the Iran Nuke Deal is a huge threat to Israel. The 0bama staff being brought back were very antisemitic too.

Well they denied our Presidents request for the military departure he asked for. This will never be seen by the public as they’re trying to sell it....even non-supporters of Trump don’t like what’s going on with all this military in DC.

A few different theories are in play but the best I can tell, no one is really able to tell if Ashli's killer is a black or white, male or female.
OTOH maybe I don't have all the available information.
That said, a Republican congresscritter from my own state, Markwayne Mullin, has indicated, quite by accident, that he would be able to identify the killer if he were asked to.
So far as I've heard, no one has asked him, or if anyone has, the killer's ID is being kept secret.
It seems to be a mystery.
I would say this — on the other side of the encounter, there was a crowd of citizens, from who-knows-where, who entered the Capitol building. Wearing hats, coats, masks, and whatnot. They’d never been in the building before. They suddenly appeared and moved about unpredictably. As best I can tell, as hard as the task may have been, some of those citizens seem to have been identifiable. Fine police work!
But on the really interesting side of the encounter, there was an individual who seemed to be a government employee working in the Capitol building. Someone who was apparently licensed to carry a firearm. Came to work every day. Entered through the same front door. Left through that door. Regularly walked the hallways, to meetings, restrooms, and whatnot. Was captured on all the building cameras as they went about their job for days, weeks, months, years.
The cameras on Jan 6 captured various people moving about. Apparently no one has any idea who the shooter was? Unrecognizable on any videotapes? No one has ever seen that person before? Just a face in the crowd? Shots ringing out, no way to tell who fired them?
Yeah, I’m calling BS on that.
Oh, I remember that kid! Someone burned his locker and flattened his bike tires, that kid?
