John Lee:
First article I have seen about the coast guard in DC for the ‘Inauguration’.

Anacostia and Potomac Rivers closed in DC through January 25, 2021.

The boats are armed with 240-caliber fully automatic rifles mounted to their bows.

There are ‘hundreds’ of members deployed.

Can’t even leave on their yachts and Motor launches! (For their own protection of course!)

Since at least ‘86 back when I was a first mate on several tour boats in DC. the coast guard was a certain presence in the potomac. There was always a couple hundred people if not more. I am sure they are on alert now.

They always had gun boats, what is the point if you don’t have them? Nice guys. But they have been there long time.

Now if the story said thousands...

Godspeed Coast Guard!
