I think I finally beat Wikipedia on this one.
I did not know about the Peter Jackson project.
Fun story about Spector during his “Ronette Daze”...
At Gold Star studios (IIRC), he had a young kid as a gopher who, instead of getting paid, accepted free time in the studio.
That gopher and his girlfriend eventually recorded some songs and became pop stars in their own right.
The gopher was Sonny and his girlfriend was Cher.
That reminds me of the story about Mike Oldfield and how he got to record Tubular Bells, basically Richard Branson let him have free studio time to record it while he would play sessions for other artists.
I’ve got “Tubular Bells” on a SACD disk but no longer have a machine to play it on.
Still looking for an easy & convenient way to decode my many SACD disks to Hi-Rez DSD.
He choked on a hairball while grooming himself.
The wig will remain in prison to serve out the rest of his term.
Most people only know if it from The Exorcist, not realizing it’s a full album. And he played every instrument on it, and he was 19 years old at the time.
That album might be a good subject for another thread.
The sound quality of the entire album is truly exceptional - very high end.
When I hear the title track, my thoughts go first to Art Bell and not the movie.

he was nuts. He’d lure girls to his mansion for the usual and then he’d show off with a gun and point it at them. Who knows why. I saw a documentary on him. He wasn’t angry with her, he just got carried away. Then he begged his bodyguard/chaffeur to take the heat. But he was smart enough to call the cops.
Perhaps, but they'll still blame it on COVID.

Great story in my book with Mark Stein, “You Keep Me Hangin’ On.”
Mark and his wife Patti went over to Phil’s house to discuss him producing Mark’s album. He got weirder and weirder, until he finally went out of the room & came back with a gun and literally held them hostage all night. Finally, he was distracted & they got out of there.
