Just went to American Thinker and all the ads are gone. Nice and clean looking instead of the hot mess it usually is. What is going on over there?

I got a popup.
They’ve been shutting off comments, probably for liability reasons (and also, to avoid false flag commenters who would bring them under scrutiny).
Several sites have cut off comments lately, or restricted them to private, paid subscribers.

I get no pop ups. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve tried different browsers and nothing.

I fear its a death rattle. They were pressured —by some entity— to remove comments and I’ll bet the same peeps are trying to cut off income in order to kill another conservative thought outlet.

Many, many sites rely on the amazons, googles, etc. to farm out advertising.
If you’ve ever closed a popup, a Google window often remains, asking why the ad window was closed. Big BIG Brother.
No ads using “Brave”. No ads on “ff”. No ads on ‘opera’. Perhaps we’re just lucky? Or some buhzillionaire has decided to fund them. When will that buhzillionaire fund FR?

Do these few stupid things (kill comments ~ post apology ~ tone down the rhetoric) and lose 15% of your audience or let them sue you into poverty for the next 5 years maybe win and lose everything anyways.
